Joey's POV
The drive to Boston was silent except for my quiet sobs and the faint sound of the radio. Daniel kept his hand on my thigh the entire time, squeezing it soothingly. We had finally reached the hospital and I immediately reach for the car door handle. Daniel stops me, reaching for my hand.
"It'll be okay, Joey. Just remember I'm always here for you." He assures me, staring deeply into my eyes. I nod, squeezing his hand before he gets out of the vehicle. We walk in the doors and up to the front desk.
"Hello. How may I help you?" The lady at the desk asks, smiling sweetly.
"Hi. I'm here to see my mom. The doctor said he'd tell a nurse I was coming." I say slowly, looking around. I hate hospitals.
"Oh yes, of course." She nods, walking into a room and talking to a woman, who I'm assuming is the nurse. She walks back out, accompanied by the other woman.
"Follow me." She says, and I oblige, following close behind her. We get into an elevator, all the way to the fifth floor. Stepping out, she leads us to a small seating area.
"Which one of you is Joseph?" She asks politely.
"That would be me." I sigh. She nods, looking over at Daniel.
"Am I able to go with him?" He asks, his voice hopeful and worried. She smiles sympathetically before responding.
"I'm sorry, sir. Only family is allowed." She apologizes, looking back over to me. "You can come in now if you'd like."
I nod, looking over at Daniel once more before following the nurse into a large, white room. I hear the faint beeping noise and sigh. That's when I see her, my mom. She lays in a white hospital bed. Her face is pale and I expect her to open her eyes and talk to me, but of course she doesn't. She's unconscious, and who knows when or if she'll wake up. Tears build in my eyes as I walk closer to her. The nurse watches me closely as I walk over to the bed. Suddenly, a rush of childhood memories go through my mind. Anger begins to build and my blood boils. Why should I feel bad for her? This is her fault. I try and ignore my angry thoughts, but I fail. Before I know what I'm doing, I'm right by her, frown on my face.
"You did this to yourself." I spit out angrily before speed walking away from the bed. The nurse tries to calm me down, but I brush her off, walking out of the room and to the seating area. Daniel looks up from his phone immediately, a concerned look on his face. Before he can ask what's wrong, I grab his arm and pull him up.
"We're leaving." I say flatly, and he just nods. I know I'll have to explain it once we get to the car. We rush through the hospital, managing to get down the elevator and out the door in a matter of minutes. We find the vehicle and climb in, closing our doors.
"I-" I start, but Daniel interrupts me.
"You don't need to explain anything to me. Let's just find a hotel and stay the night, okay?" He says softly, grabbing ahold of my hand. I smile, thankful for him being so understanding.
"Okay." I nod, keeping a strong hold on his hand.
After checking a few hotels, none of them having vacancy, we come upon one with only one room available. The room just so happened to be the honeymoon suite...great. ( ;) )
We walk into the room and I look around. There's a huge king sized bed and a small jacuzzi in the corner. In another room there is a large TV and a couch. There's a large bathroom with a giant bathtub, along with a massive amount of candles.
"How romantic." Daniel comments, smirking at me. I grin and grab his hand.
"It's getting kind of late, do you want to into the jacuzzi?" I ask, smiling like an idiot.
"Oh of course." He replies, grinning. "Although, I don't have a bathing suit. And neither do you, Mister."
I chuckle, pulling my shirt over my head. "I guess we'll have to go in our underwear."
He smirks, shrugging his shoulders. "I guess so."
He begins taking off his shirt and I unbutton my jeans, sliding them down my legs. He does the same thing and we walk over to the jacuzzi, figuring out how to get it started. Once it's filled with water and the jets are going, we step in, Daniel sits down in the ledge and I sit in his lap, wiggling my butt slightly to get comfortable. I hear Daniel suck in a sharp breath and I look at him.
"God Joey, don't do that. You're making me a little too excited." He chuckles lightly, and sure enough I feel him slowly hardening beneath me. I turn my body around so my body is facing him and our bare chests are pushed together.
"Good," I whisper before slamming my lips onto his.
