"Wake up! Rise and Shine, girls." Sneeves said. The trials begin today and we must prepare for them.
As they wake up, you could tell Winifred had a hard time falling asleep. She was tossing and turning all night. Her eyes were weary and dazed, as if she had been hit by a runaway train which collapsed into her head.
"Alright," Sneeves said. Are you all ready? I sure am. Defiantly, he stood.
Lori slid out of the bed and yawns heavily. "Yes, yes, I am, Sneeves." She said. You know there's one thing I hate more than these trials, and that's waking up super early in the mornings. Every time I'd wake up in the mornings when I was younger I would toss and turn. It would be torture waking up, especially in the frigid Winters. "So, today is the day of the final trials and we are supposed to head over there any minute now." Said Lori. Winifred hops out of the bed and turns on the light. "Why, Winifred." "What are you looking for?" Sneeves said. Winifred turns to Sneeves. "I'm looking for my hair brush. If you must know."
Winifred gently combs her hair with the hair brush. The three walk out of the house and walk to the arena, where trial three would begin. Trial three was to be hosted by the same guy. He was a very voracious announcer and did a good job. The girls walk into the arena and perch by the stands. They unwrap some sandwiches they brought with them. The sandwiches were made of turkey, ham, with lettuce and tomatoes. The crowd cheers on and on. Loudly, they gather enough strength to create a loud storm across the arena which filled everyone with enthusiasm.
"Winifred, let's move closer," said Lori. Holding out her hand so Winifred could grab it. They bustle down the stadium stairs and sit by the front of the stadium where they could get a better shot at all of the action that was taking place down there. As the announcer strides in, he could be heard talking beforehand, as he gently unwraps the microphone from his pocket and said: "Hello, ladies and gentlemen, welcome." Come one, come all. We have an important announcement to make before we begin the games. He waves off his collar, which dirt clustered around it.
"He takes out a computer chip and puts it in his hand. Alright, everyone." He said. "This chip will be a part of our games today and our events." Its a special chip designed to activate a portal for our contestants. "The chip will be implanted in everyone's arms, and will be activated upon the completion of the beginning ceremonies -- where we will introduce each of the teams, as they gather forward."
"There were four teams competing today and those teams will be assigned numbers and ranks, as each team does battle with one another." We will be setting up an arena for the four teams. Said the boastful announcer. Each team will compete in four rounds. Each round will get progressively harder, as the arena will shape shift, according to the moods. Which will create various obstacles for the teams, as they continue to duke it out.
"Team one, Team two, Team three, and finally Team four, please step forward and be assigned ranks and colors." Team one stepped forward. The announcer proclaims that this team is a Soldier Rank and their colors are Yellow. Team two stepped forward. The announcer proclaims that this team are Guardians Rank. Their colors are black. Team three stepped forward. The announcer proclaims that this team are Defenders Rank. Their colors are Green. Finally, Team four steps forward, which was Winifred's team. "Their colors are Orange and their rank is Attackers."
"All teams, please step forward and be assigned these chips." Which will be implanted into your skin. Your skin will only pinch a little. But it wont be too painful. The teams step forward and poke out their hands and arms. The robotic assistant swerved around and caresses the arms of each of the contestants. "Here we are."
'Pinch.'
