Lily's POV:
Internet Star: Matthiasiam
My eyes widened underneath my vivid red, long bangs. Matthias. That was actually him. The Matthias. The Matthias that does RYC, Ask Matt, #ChallengeMatthias, all of that stuff. I could actually meet him! Instantly, my hand scribbled across the paper and the little box next to Matthias' name was now filled with graphite.
Noah's dark green eyes had already drifted towards my paper. He noticed my excitement and then wrapped an uncomfortable arm around me.
"Who's Mat-t-thias?" he questioned, eyeing down my paper.
"It's Matthias, and he's a YouTuber." I replied dully.
"Sounds stupid, but I'll sign up to be with my girlfriend." Anger bubbled inside of me as he erased robotics and put in Matthias.
"Hey, who's that?" Aaron, one of Noah's jock friends, asked, leaning forwards to us.
"Some YouTuber she watches." Noah replied, pointing a finger at me. The color flushed through my cheeks as I looked down and away from them.
For whatever reason, when Mr. Turner wasn't looking, Aaron scrambled around the classroom and whispered something to each and every person in the room. All 30 of them. That couldn't end well.
After what seemed like years, the bell rang throughout the classroom, signaling the end of school. Instantly, I snatched up my books and scurried out of class.
Once I had reached my locker, I slipped my books in, grabbed my earbuds, and walked outside to wait for my bus.
While waiting, I slipped my phone from my pocket and scrolled through notifications. The first thing that popped up caused a smile to appear on my face.
Matthias uploaded: READING YOUR AUTO CORRECTS 5
Grinning wide, I plugged my earbuds in and started to watch the video. Just seconds after tapping the icon, his face popped up. The piercing blue eyes, the enormous and adorable ears, and the nerdy face. He helps me.
"How's it going guys? I am Matthias and today we are gongtobedoajfkgyoing..." he muttered, leaving the last word as a string of sound. The smile on my face continued to grow.
"Today I am reading. Your. Auto corrects. Since you guys clicked that like button so many times on the last one, leave a like if you want another!" He made thumbs up motions with his hands. Without even thinking, I tapped the button as it began to glow bright blue.
Then, the loud roar of a bus sounded as my head snapped up just to see multiple people boarding my bus. In an attempt not to miss it, I slung my bag over my shoulder and joined the crowd.
Once I was finally able to get onto the vehicle, I sprinted to the very back. It was quiet and alone. Where no one could interrupt or abuse me. As I sat down, I brought my phone back up to my line of vision and continued watching Matthias.
"Alright, first one: What are we eating for dinner? Shellfood. What!? I meant sharkfood. NO. SEAFOOD! THAT'S WHAT WE'RE EATING, OK?! Well I'll just go eat somewhere else. I don't trust you. Oops. Haha!" His face went out of frame momentarily from laughter. "Oh, that's the best. Well, you know it's some type of food." I smiled.
"Next: I'm getting bored. I'm washing Markimoo. Watching! WAR!? WAT?! Oh, wow, so many typos just there! And people, don't wash Markimoo, that's not right." A laugh threatened to escape, but I had to choke it down, for public reasons.
As the bus went from stop to stop, the video continued on, only causing more laughs from him and more grins to me. As odd as it is to say, he's my savior.
Matthias' POV:
After making sure the new Reading Your Auto Corrects was published, I strolled out of my little corner that is an office. Well, until I get the room that's going to be my actual office painted, but it's the next best thing. While passing by the soon to be pink kitchen, I heard a beautiful and familiar voice.
"I'm going backwards, and yet I'm made to believe, I'm moving forwards, and I'm chasing my dreams but I'll be, just who I wanna be without you controlling, controlling me." the voice sang quietly. A smile spread across my face.
"Hey babe." I said, walking up to my beautiful wife. She turned her head at the sound of my voice and returned the smile.
"Hi."
"Were you singing one of my songsss?" Her face grew bright red.
"Maybe..." Amanda whispered, chuckling. Walking next to her, I gave her a quick kiss on the cheek.
"I love you."
"I love you too." The smile on my face grew. She's the love of my life. Before leaving back to my minuscule room of an office, I rubbed her shoulder quickly and then left.
Once I sat at my chair, a swarm of emails came running in. Ignoring them for just a moment, I tweeted out, "Hey look, it's Wednesday. That means a new Reading Your Auto Corrects!" Then I added the link and sat back as my notifications began to blow up.
Finally willing to explore my sea of emails, what seemed like a million emails popped up, even though it was just a few.
There were some just from YouTube, some that needed replies, and some spam. But one thing caught my eye. Sitting up quickly, I began reading the letter.
Dear Matthias,
First off, congratulations on 900k subscribers! You are very well known in the YouTube community and we would like to propose an offer. If you could, would you take the time to come to Grand Island High School (address below) tomorrow, arriving at 7 AM, and explain to our students what you do for your audience and what it is like to be a YouTuber? I hope for a reply soon, and I hope you accept this offer.
Best wishes,
Principal Cole Williams
"Interesting, very interesting," I muttered to no one in particular. This was actually really cool! In all honesty, this is the first time I have been offered something like this. Thankfully, nothing was happening tomorrow. Rubbing my temple, I clicked the reply button and began to type.
Dear Mr. Williams,
Thank you so much for this amazing offer! I would love to come to Grand Island and show the students different things about being a YouTuber! I'll definitely be there. Yet again, thank you so much!
Yours truly,
Matthias
Sitting back, I let out a long sigh. This was going to be an interesting experience indeed, but also extremely cool.
