"Excuse me. Are you, Mr. Mendez?"

He immediately looks at me. I smile at him but he didn't. His jaw dropped and his eyes scans my human being.

"Ahh--uhmm.." He stands and clears his throat. Grabs his bag and looks at me.

"No. You have been mistaken, Miss." He give me a fake smile. I smile back and compose myself. Maybe he's not him.

"Ohh..I'm sorry. I thought you were him becaus--"

"No." He left. I sighed and just sit on the couch. I took my phone out and press a button..revealing my supposed to be date. I look out in the window.

Another turn down. It's him. But he lied. I know. I'm not expecting that he would accept me. Besides boys this days are only into looks. Big tits and butts. But I somehow believe in his lie during our little chitchat in a love match maker app I downloaded last night.

I park in front of the main door. I got out and welcome by the maids. The door opens and saw her at the living room. Sitting at her favorite rocking chair. She's old. But her beauty remains.

"Hi, mom." I greeted and she stood. She smile weakly and hugs as she face me. I hugged her too and looks at her.

"How's your day?" She asked. I shrug. She knows it already. We both sit at the couch.

"Mom, what's wrong to me?" I ask. She smiled.

"No, darling. You are so beautiful. Like your me " I smiled too.

"Did my siblings drop here today?" She shook her head.

"Those ugly human beings. They didn't even visited you for a week already! The nerve!" Hinilot ko ang sintido ko.

"They are busy. You know..family and business." I nodded.

"So mom, how's your day?" I asked.

"Well, doing great. Your nephew visited me earlier. And guess what? Aros, top again at class!" I happily smiled.

"Well, Mom. What's new? Aros is the most bright boy I knew. Wholesome nga eh! Mana satin. Di katulad ng nanay niya. Gold digger na, bobo pa." Mom spank my mouth. I chuckled and she laughed.

"You bitch. Be a good girl na, Sethia. You are a smart girl. You should know you won't lower your level on that kind of woman." She smiled.

"Mom, she deserves it! The last time I face her is namaga talaga ang mukha niya sa suntok ko. Being a tall woman is an advantage. Di niya ko maabot." I laughed. Mom just shrugs.

"Di ko nga alam bakit sa ganyang pananamit mo, eh nakakapang bully ka ng tao!"

"Mom, it's my asset simula pa noon. Ayaw kong mamahalin ako ng lalaki dahil sa mayaman ako at maganda or kahit ano pa. Gusto ko kahit pangit ako, mamahalin pa din niya ako."

Mom hugged me again. She knew what's the reason why I'm like this. Old fashioned since birth. I'm a smart girl. And knowing guys, they are into looks. Last thing na ang love pag naipagmalaki ka na sa mga kaibigan niya at marami ng aagaw sayo.
