The Crazy Run

chapter 2

Everyone was staring at me. I didnt know what to say,sophia had tears in her eyes. I fellt like the monster. The only thing that i could think of is to run. Just run as fast as you can Lucy, Just RUN!

So I did what i thought. I got up making th chair slam into the wall and ran. Bobbi, or Danny, Or maybe Sophia told Austin to run after me. When I got about a block away Austin had already cought up to me. He grabbed my arm twisting me around making me flinch.

When I opened my eyes realizing that he wasnt going to hit me. He had this confused look writen all over his face. Thats when i was bombarded by questions.

"Why did you run? Why did you just flinch? Why are you not telling us the truth? Why did you hide your identity?"

I felt like i couldnt answer the questoins that i need to get far away before they get hurt, before i get hurt. I tried to get out of Ausitns hold, but he had a good grip. Sophia, Bobbi, and Danny have cought up to us, they had the curious cinfuded look too.

They where kind enough to bringme back into their house so I could explain everything. Even how much I tried to tell them that they would get hurt. They still wanted me to explain... Everything.

We went back and sat around the table to listen to the story I had.

"My real name is Lucy Anne Johnson." I said with a little shyness

"Ya, we've got that much." Austin said with a little anger in his eyes. He was instinatly smacked up side the head. I imeadiatly sat up running over to him looking at Bobbi. Everyone looked at me like I was messed up in the brain.

"Ok, I'm just going to come out with the truth. So please dont make any judgements or call the police."

"Hun, why would we -" Bobbi tried to ask.

"I was beat ever since i was three. I went to go run around in the yard when my parents were taking a nap. They woke up and i wasnt anywhere to be found. My mom started hyperviantly. My dad found me and ever since then i was his angry squishy thing, but in a punching bag form." I explained.

Bobbi and Danny exchanged looks while Sophia came running to me. I didnt realize it at the moment, but when she cam to give me a hug she some how got my sweatshirt off.You could see every bruise, scare, and scratch my dad had left.

Sophia left to go to her parents side. Austins eyes flew wide open. Bobbi and Danny gasped like someone had just punched them in th gut. I sort of freaked and grabbed my sweatshirt running to the bathroom. I felt like i didnt belog here with them. I pulled my sweatshirt on and walked out.

I was imeadiatly attacked with hugs. I could feel the tears falling from everynes eyes. I felt more bad for Sophia. Shes probably terrified and doesnt know what to do.

"Honey you are more then welcomed here." Bobbi said with tears still falling down like a waterfall.

"You guys please dont cry. I'm much better now. I have you guys. Please dont cry. Please" I said with my shaky voice.

"You can Sleep on the couch tonight, Austin and I will clean out the spare bedroom for you." Danny said with a half smile.

"Can I help its the best I can do for thanking you to let me stay."

"Sure do what ever your heart dissires sweety." Danny said

I felt like I had just found a family... a loving one.
