The Crazy Run

Chapter 5

I woke up with Austin sitting in a chair by my bead passed out, and having a huge migraine. I got out of bed trying so hard not to wake up the sleeping man. When i got down stairs everyone was sitting around the table looking scared to death.

"Hey guys, what happened? Can i get some medicine for my headache?" I asked still really tired.

"What the hell are you doing out of bed?" Danny yelled running over to me.

"What do you mean? and can you please keep your voice down low my head is pounding."

"Bobbi go get her some medicine. Sophia get Lucy a glass of water. I'm going to take her back to bed."

"You guys I'm fine i just need to take some meds and figure out what happened last night."

Before we knew it heres Austin running in freaking out on how I wasnt in bed. He thought that i was kidnapped or ran away, but then e saw me and turned tomato red. All I could do was laugh.

"Here I'll take her up stairs so she can lay in bed." Austin said picking me up and throughing him over his shoulder. Making my long brown hair get in my face (which I hate!).

"Austin put me down I'm fine and I can walk myself" I yelled but kept getting hair in my mouth.

Next thing I knew i was thrown onto my bed. For being sixteen he sure is strong!

"Oh, stop glaring at me. I need to talk to you about last night."

"I can't." i answered with a snap

"Yes you can you just think you cant."

"No, I seriously cant!"

"And why is that Lucy to scared to relive it? You have bruised cheeks now, and the back of your head was bleeding last night!"

"I cant cause i dont remeber that much! Thats why... Is that a good enough answer I dont rember much. Ok now please get me some food and medicine my head is getting worse."

"Ya, wait you dont remember your dad being here last night?" He said with all scarce in his eyes.

"Well I do a little bit." I said with a little shrug

"What do you remember? Lucy I have to know to keep you safe!" He said taking a seat next to me on my bed.

"It's sweet that you want to keep me safe, but i can battle my own battle." I said pushing him to the side trying to get him to think that I'm strong enough.

"No, Lucy tell me what you remember.... NOW!"

"You have to promise me not to tell your parents or Sophia. I dont want to freak them out!"

"I promise!" He said sticking up his pinky.

I pushed down his pinky "I remember waking up at the sound of thunder. Then I felt a sharp pain on my right cheek, then my left after my dad got onto my bed. He then said that I have like a week to get back home or your family and I will be in trouble. Thats all I remamber."

He gave me a big hug when I was done telling him. I could feel his tears seeping through the bag-y shirt i was wearing. Wait was he crying? I started patting his back trying to comfort him. He then pulled away and he wasnt crying, but he had a feared look on his face.

"Whats wrong?" I asked with all confution.

"Lucy I think your head is bleeding again we need to take you to a doctor. Now!"

I went to go look in a mirror and sure enough my shirt was all bloody. I turned to look at him and I could tell that he was going to try to run to the door. I ran there before he could make it.

"Lucy move we need to get you to a doctor." He said with anger filled in his eyes.

"No if I go then they will reconize me as the missing girl, through your parents into jail. You and Sophia will be put into an adoption center, and I'll go back home and get killed. You cant take me to the doctors." I explained and Austin just sighed. He didnt want me to go back, but I could tell that he didnt want me hurt.

"Go get me some rap and a wet towel." I structed and he did as he told. In the next second he was back with eveything I told him to get, Even a pill and water.

I took the medicine then went to the bathroom. I had Austin hold my hair out of the way as i cleaned the cut. I then bandaged it up. It now looks like im wearing a white/pink headband. We walked down and Sophia came running to me. I picked her up and she gave me a big hug.

We all sat around to eat breakfast. When we were done Austin, Sophia, and I went outside to play while Bobbi and Danny cleaned up.

Its' been a whole day that we were outside. At one point I had to go sit down cause i was etting really dizzy. We just got done eating dinner, Sophia and I went up stairs to go to bed. I was doing a quich run through with my hair when Austin came in to check on me.

"Austin im 11 not 4. I can take care of myslef thank you very much." I said putting my brush down on a self.

"I know but I wanted to make sure that your ok."

"Thank you but im fine."

"OK... goodnight. If you cant sleep you know were I am."

He turned around and left to go to his room. It's great to know that he actually cares that he wants me safe. Unlike my dad who gave a poop about me. I crawled into my bed to go to sleep. Then of corse theres a thunderstorm tonight.

Its' been two hours and I still cant sleep. Its around 11:30 the Austin walked in.

"Hey are you still up?" he asked witha soft voice.

"Ya, why are you still up?" I asked with about the same voice.

"I just wanted to make sure your safe."

"Ok then"

"I guess I'll let you sleep."

"Wait Austin? Can I ask you something?"

"Sure whats up?"

"Will you stay with me tonight. I know I said that I can take care of myself, but I'm scared."

He walked over to my bed and crawled in. He put his big, buff arms around me. "Sure I wont leave."

"Promise?"

"Promise."

After a couple of minutes I was out, and slept peacfully that night with Austin by my side.
