The Crazy Run

chapter 4

I was instantly envolped into a hug from behind and in front. When I was released i was gasping for air. They can defeantly kill someone with a tight sqeeze! I turned around to see Danny standing there with a smile on his face. A welcoming one.

"Welcom home honey!" Danny said.

I did feel like home, a real home. I turned to look at Austin, he seemed happy about having me in the family. I smiled at him and he returned the smile. I grabbed the frame from his hands and put the picture of my mom in it. Then set it on the nightstand by my bed.

We went back to cleaning up the room. I went by the window and the car was still sitting there. It gave me the creeps, and I didnt know what the guys deal was. I stood there looking for a while, then Austin once again scaring the crap out of me by putting his hand on my shoulder.

"Hey calm down. I got you a box to put the pictures in. So what were you so consitrated on?" he asked looking in my eyes. Like he was trying to be a cop scaring me to confess.

"Oh just watching Sophia play. It's sort of funny to watch." I lied but had to come up with something. I didnt want to scare them the second day I'm with them. Exspecially Sophia I dont know what we would do to keep her calm.

He must of bought it, he handed me the box and went back to work. I looked out the window, the man in the car was looking up at me. I was scared a little bit and went back to work, like I never noticed him. But in my head millions of things were running around.

"What did he want? Who is he? What if it was my dad?"

I just got done eating and cleaning up supper. Earlier that day Austin and Danny kicked me out, because they wanted to surprise me on my room. So Austin adn Sophia started racing up the stairs to show me my room. I followed them and laughing to myself, they were pushing eachother out of the way to show me a room.

When i caught up to them, Austin was standing there , ike one of those game show ladies that show the people the prize, and Sophia was waiting to open the door. I started laughing to myslef again, but Sophia got impacient and startd pulling me to my room.

When i entered the room i stopped in mid-stance. It had my moms picture on the nightstand with a lamp. A closet, A vanity with a mirror, a nice queen bed, and a beautiful quilt. I had tears in my eyes, I actually had a bed to sleep on. A place i can sleep without waking up with a punch to the gut.

I turned around and gave both of them a big hug. I let go of them still having tears fall down like a waterfall and went to go find Bobbi and Danny. When i found them they were sitting on the couch watching tv. Well that was till they saw me standing in front of them crying.

"Oh what's wrong honey?" Bobbi asked a little scared for the answer

I pulled them into a big bear hug.

"Thank you. Thank you so much. Thank you for everything, the food, bed, shelter, adn saftey!"

"Oh honey, its a plesure to have you live with us." Danny said with a smile on his face. (I think its hard to make him smile cause Bobbi looked at him Surprised.)

I ran back upstairs to my room. Austin and Sophia were still in my room. 

"What are you still doing in my room I'd like to sleep you know." I said as i pushed them out of my room.

"Wait Lucy, can i sleep with you tonight?" Sophia asked with big puppy eyes

"I'm sorry sweety, But can I'd like to sleep alone tonight." I said squating dow to her level. I just dont think she liked the answer cause she stormed off to her room.

"Night!" I called after her, "What are you still doing here I said that I'd like to sleep."

"I know but wouldnt you like to slepp in pajamas instead of you filthy clothes?" Austin said raising an eyebrow

"How do you know that i wouldnt like to sleep in these rags?" I popped back

"Fine good night Luc." He said starting to turn to go to his room.

"Wait ill take what ever you have to get out of these things."

"Thats what I thought. Ill be right back with a T and some of my moms shorts."

I went to go back into my room and sat on the bed. Before I knew it, everything went black and I was out like that.

I woke up with a clash of thunder around midnight. I looked around and i was under the covers in Different clothes. When did i change? Wait, did Austin change me? Oh, if he did he better say his prayers!

All of a sudden i heard footsteps by my door. I Looked over there then I got this sudden pain my on left cheek. When I looked up my dad was on my bed, sitting on top of me making sure that I cant get free. Then there was another stick of pain but on my right cheek now.

All I could do was scream and moan hoping someone would come for help.

"Oh, shut up. Why would they want to help a worthless little girl like you?" he said grapping my hair and banging my head onto the headboard.

"Listen up and listen good. I'm giving you ONE WEEK to get your butt back in that house of mine. If your not there you and your little friends here will be in trouble! Got it?" he said spitting into my face, and getting a good smell of the beer on his lips.

I didnt reaspond much just a little spit in the eye. He didnt like it much. He had enough of that and banged my head against the heaadboard harder this time.

All in a second Austin came barging into my room and tackled my dad off of me. I ran to go get Danny but he was already at the top of the stairs. We ran to my room just as my dad jumped out of the window. Sophia was crying into Bobbi's arms, Danny rushed to Austin as he saw his black eye. Then all I could do to help things were to puke then let everything go black.
