Kali's sorrow and why?

"I know it is hard for Kali. But I think. She is a bit more upset than I thought she would be. I mean it seems like there is another reason why she is sad." I told Mae.

"Yeah. She does seem a tad to mad." Mae thought.

"Maybe she had always dreamed of marrying him and having kids" Gina added.

"Maybe, but I think its a bit more emotional than that" I said.

"Well I think you should ask her. If she doesn't answer maybe we will have to figure it out by our selves." Mae said

Macymidget: Kali why are you so upset about Alyssa having a baby?

Kali: uh. You know it is hard to see you old best friend go through it.

Macymidget: She looks pretty happy to me.

Kali: Well I just know it can't be good for her.

Macymidget: Does she now have what you wanted from him.

Kali: Well, kind of, but I never WANTED to get pregnant.

Macymidget: Oh. But you wanted a serious relationship with him?

Kali: Well, I mean yeah I did. But I don't think...

Macymidget: Kali you can tell me I just want to help you, because I know you are hurting.

Kali: it's personal Macy.

Kali has logged off.

So Kali didn't really tell me anything. But it might have something to do with Alyssa getting something with Alex that Kali didn't get. She wanted a serious relationship, never wanted to get pregnant. She emphasized wanted. Did that mean she to would be happy like Alyssa if she was pregnant? I wasn't quite sure what to make of this.

School

Alyssa had been talking about being pregnant all the time. She was so happy and joyful about it. She got a sense of pride in telling Kali. By she acted like a snob to Kali when she told her. Probably because Kali had acted like a nose to her when she went out with Kali's ex.

"Alex and I think we are going to have more" Alyssa said her nose up and swinging her head, pursing her lips, and using her eyes as lasers.

Kali quickly hurried away as though she was scared. But why? Was she grossed out by this? Did she just not want to hear it? Or was there more?

While I was in mid thought Alyssa approached me.

"I'm sure you have heard, but Alex and I have already decided we are going to move in together. You know, for the baby." Alyssa told me a bit to sweet for my taste.

I just nodded. "So you sure are excited about being a pregnant teen?" I said as she was walking away?

She stopped turned her head and had a confused look on her face. She turned around abruptly and had her head raised.

"Yes. I actually am." she replied.

"Why do you get so much joy out of telling Kali? Surely you know why it makes her cry" I asked.

"Of course I know. But why do you care? Kali was so mean to you. Why would you be nice to her?" Alyssa questioned.

"Because I'm not like she was. I care about people even when they don't care about me" I told her.

"Well Kali shouldn't be shaming me for getting pregnant. She's no better. It just never turned out for her" Alyssa said stubbornly.

She walked away. I wondered what that could mean. Why should Kali not be shaming her for getting pregnant? what did she do that makes her no better than a girl who gets pregnant in her teens? What does she mean by it never turned out. I had one thought, but I believe It may be to far fetched. It could even be offending.

"Gina, do you know anything about this?" I asked Gina.

"Well, something strange did happen between Kali and Alex once. Kali said she was gaining weight. Alex was acting really strange. Kali did get a little belly fat. But then one day when she came to school she was a mess. Crying, sad, depressed. She would tell no one. Alex didn't come to school. But I saw them walk home together. I think Alex didn't come because he was crying to." Gina told me.

"So do you think it has something to do with Kali getting fat?" I wondered.

"It seems so," Gina said, " But I really don't think so.".

Kali getting fat? That doesn't seem very realistic. But what I think could be going on is not very Kali either. So what am I supposed to think? Confused is what I think.
