Days passed rather slowly for Luke. He wanted it to be Tuesday, so that the professor would arrive. Brenda and Clark were getting quite frustrated at their son's impatience. Of course, that understood, Hershel was a very close family friend, and dear Flora was going to come too... Luke missed her a lot. He almost certainly liked her, and not in the 'just friends' way. She might be a little bit older, but that didn't matter too much.
Even Luke's friends were getting annoyed. At school on Monday, a boy named Jonah was hearing another one of Luke's 'tales' as he liked to call the wacky stories that Luke told.
"And then, Don Paulo used these things on his flying machine to start destroying the tower! And the staircase broke, and I was on one side and the professor was with Flora on the other side, and they couldn't get down! And then-"
"You know you've told me all of this before, right?" Jonah interrupted.
"Oh, have I?" Luke replied, disappointed. "I guess I just got carried away..."
"Hey, it's ok, you can keep going, I forget how you found the treasure."
"Oh yeah! That part was really amazing!" And Luke continued his tales. Very few people actually believed him, Jonah was one of the few. Of course, most people believed the stories because they had heard about them on world news or whatever, but it was the fact that Luke had been there was the unbelievable bit. But Luke was smart, Jonah had noticed, and very logical. That's what led him to believe his tales of adventure.

The journey was almost over, but Flora still wasn't feeling good. She had begun to feel seasick, and so she was spending some more time out in the open air on the deck of the ship. Emmy stood beside her, staring blankly out into the sea in front of the ferry. Flora looked in the same direction and saw the first glimpse of land coming over the horizon. She smiled to herself, now eager to get off the ship and back onto solid land. The professor had gone to get some water for Flora, because it helped her seasickness.
"I can't wait to get off, can you?" Flora asked.
"I can wait to get off the ship, it's the investigation I can't wait for." Emmy replied happily. Flora had noticed that she didn't seem to be looking forward to the investigation as much as she said she was. Flora had also noticed other things about Emmy, like her sweet tooth and how independent she was. At least she had finally gone back to wearing bright yellow.
"Yeah, I really want to see Luke again, I'm so excited!" Flora did seem very happy at the thought of seeing Luke.
Just then, the professor returned with some bottles of water.
"I think we're all looking forward to seeing Luke. I wonder how much taller he'll have gotten?" Hershel asked nobody in particular.
"Well, he'll be a lot taller than the last time I saw him!" Emmy pointed out, as she hadn't seen the young boy in over two years.
They all laughed a little, settling down rather quickly however. Then Flora remembered something.
"Oh! Professor, what happened to the other file that Luke sent? The one with the details about the case?"
The professor smiled and looked at the horizon. "I think it would be best to hear the situation from Luke himself, there may have been changes."
"Oh, but can we see the file anyway?" Flora pleaded, looking so innocent and cute.
"Oh, alright." The professor gave in and reached into his coat pocket. He pulled out Luke's envelope and opened it up, sliding the other file out of it. It was a document with a rather official looking print on it, and the professor handed it over to Flora. It was a copy of a police report.
