Earth

They walked down the hallway hand and hand....knowing quite possibly that this might just be the last calm moment they will ever again have in their lives. The danger floating through the air at the school was so thick it was hard to breathe. Something big was coming, and if they weren't at the top of their game many people would die.

She knew he badly wished for his lightsaber...they made them a while back but kept them hidden in fear of temptation and what the government would do if they had a weapon that outsmarted all the rest...and was built for free. Both of their hands would start to feel as if the lightsabers teleported into them...even though they were hundreds of miles away...But she also knew if he had his lightsaber....he would make ill choices with it....or show it to the wrong person....and then disappear forever.

"I've got a bad feeling about this Jake." She told him right before he dropped her off at her classroom.

"I know, me too Liz." He replied as he pulled her into a hug.

She smiled and was somewhat comforted by his nickname for her, her real name was a handful.

The hug seemed like it lasted forever...which they were ok with, but sooner or later they had to say bye. He had a class he had to go to and she had a math test she didn't want to take but had to anyway.

"You got to go. You are going to be late." She told him and pulled just enough away to look him in the eyes.

"I honestly don't care about being late. But if you honestly want me to go..." He said as he took his arms from around her and started turning the other way with his childish grin on his face.

"Hey! That's not fair!" she told him and pulled him in for one last hug. Then sent him on his way, and watched him as he rounded the corner to where his class room was.

She was just hoping that whatever was going to happen wouldn't corrupt them and what's between them.
