AN: I don't think i portrayed Neji right. He... smirks too much in my story. I mean he is arrogant and always talking about destiny but he does stop in Shippuden. But he doesn't smirk alot.
I jolted awake as cold water was dumped on me.
I looked around dissoriented only to see Lee and Neji standing a few feet away. I zeroed in on the bucket that Lee was holding.
"My apologies! But you wouldn't wake up and so Neji suggested that I dump cold water on you. At first I was skeptical but Neji said that you would like it and it would be refreshing."
Neji backed away slowly when he saw the force of my glare.
He didn't sjow any signs of fear, but then again, he's Neji.
"Run," I said through gritted teeth. And lunged for him, but I fell short when the wet blankets got tangled around my legs.
"Lee why don't we meet her in the training area?" And with those words they were gone.
I am sooooo going to kill Neji.
After taking a shower I made my way to the designated spot.
It is too early for this.
When I got there I saw Neji and Lee sparring. Neji had noticeable veins around his eyes. I wonder what that's about?
And Lee was so fast! It looked like he was hyperaware of not letting Neji touch him. But why?
"Neji can stop your chakra points and momentarily disorient you." I startled at the husky voice behind me that I knew all to well.
I blushed a bright shade of red as I turned and faced Gaara."He's using his Byakugan, you can tell by the veins surrounding his eyes. He can see chakra points and see through anything. He almost has a 360 degree view of everything." Gaara continued.
I nodded, "so you decided to come train with us?" I wondered what Temari said to make him come. Maybe she didn't tell him the whole story.
"You do know that Lee is running the session right?"
"Yes," he grumbled looking like he would rather be anywhere else.
'Ha! That's what you get for practically forcing me to get a checkup.'
I turned my attention back to the fight and saw Lee looking like he was in bad shape and Neji actually looking tired.
I didn't want any permanent damage done, especially when everyone insisted that this was just a warm-up.
So I jumped in the middle and said the words I would regret for the rest of my life.
"Let's start our training!" I said In an atempt to get them to stop trying to kill each other.
They nodded and Lee gave us a big smile. "One hundred laps as a warmup!"
"Never mind keep sparring! I don't care if you guys kill each other!" I said frantically.
Too late a tiny voice said in my head.
I resigned myself to my fate and started running.
50 laps later
I was dying. I was about to collapse. No one listened to me when I said I wanted to write up my will before this training session.
They thought I was being melodramatic. Well the jokes on them because now no one gets my stuff when I die. Which I believe is going to be very soon.
Gaara and Neji kept pace with me when I'm sure they could have already been done by now.
Neji turned to me and said, "I like keeping pace with you. I could go at this pace all day. And it's an excuse to Lee why I'm going so slow."
If I wasn't currently struggling for breath right now I'd give him a taste of my mind.
So I gave a grunt and turned away from him. Jerk
Both boys ignored my labored breathing. Our should i say Panting/hyperventilating.
Lee was already done with two hundred laps. And was already on one armed push ups.
"281, 282, 283, 284..." Lee counted as we passed him.
Of course I thought snidely. He was in the two hundreds.
Where as I was dying! Gaara kept giving me worried glances. He opened his mouth.
"I'm fine." I gasped and heaved.
The whole time we were running he kept asking me if I was alright. And he kept on saying that it was alright if I wanted too quit. I was really tempted but one look at Neji's mocking face made all desire to quit vanish.
I was going to finish my laps in half the time it takes him!
My brain and my legs had different opinions on that matter.
Needless to say I acted like I finished them and Lee was none the wiser seeing as he was too busy pulling himself up a tree with one finger.
Of course Neji raised an eyebrow at me when I declared that I was finished to Lee.
"I thought we were supposed to do..." Neji started.
"Anyways!" I cut him off.
"But we only did..." Gaara began innocently. He really was being sincere.
"How about we take a break?" I cut him off. On any other day I wouldn't have been so rude. But today was all about self-preservation.
"A break? But we didn't even start! That was just a warm-up!" Lee exclaimed.
"Of course it was..." I said glummly. If Neji has to go through this on a daily basis then I kinda feel bad for him.
But I'd rather go through Lee's training a hundred times before I admitted it to him.
"1,000 push ups!" Lee said and started doing them, counting out loud.
I looked at him horrified. Maybe admitting it to Neji wasn't such a bad idea.
"And after that 1,000 sit ups." He said before he continued counting.
At this point I'd rather kiss the ground Neji walked on if I thought it would get me out of this.
But I knew it wouldn't. Neji and Gaara started to do them. Neji's smirk was very apparent on his all knowing face.
"Aren't you going to begin? " he asked just as emotionless as always.
With great trepidation I got on the floor. I stared at the groung like it was going to open up and eat me.
I resigned myself to the fact that I was going to die.
A few minutes later
"52, 53, 54,..." I counted off the number if pushups I did. My arms were straining.
"501, 502, 503," Lee counted off his. "And If I cannot do 1,000 push ups then I will do 1,000 sit ups. And if I cannot do 1,000 sit ups then I will do 1,000 punches."
And if I don't die from doing 70 push ups then I will be so proud of myself. I thought sullenly.
