~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~This first page will be about the self-esteem of a woman in our generation.
Nowadays, the figure and shape of a woman is the only thing seen as attractive and no one cares about the woman's intelligence, personality, etc. And as muslim woman we sometimes feel like we are bad looking and also want the attention that some women get, thinking that if we achieve the second glance of a male, then we are attractive.
Sister, hold up! Since when are you bad-looking? Remember, Allah(SubhanaWaTaAla)has created everyone uniquely and beautifully in their own way. And we dare to critic the beautiful body our Lord Almighty gave us?
As a teenage girl, I do understand and know what it's like comparing yourself to other woman and feeling like you don't look good enough, but sister it is better to remember that you are not just any woman. You are a muslim woman and the reason you cover is because you are a precious jewel that only a select few are allowed to see the true beauty of.
So, love the body Allah(SubhanaWaTaAla) gave you and take good care of it.
The body is just a vessel for the soul and will one day be just dirt again so sister don't think you are not beautiful because you don't get to flaunt your looks. And it's not like you can't look good: you just have limits that protect you.
So the next time you look in the mirror and start thinking about that one girl who's waist was smaller than yours or who's hair was longer than yours, thank Allah(SubhanaWaTaAla)for everything he has given you(health, family, love, friends, and so on).
Advice on how to look good while still being modest:
~ If you are going clothes shopping, make sure to buy clothes that cover your body well and aren't too tight whether they are worn alone or with another clothing.
~ If you're going to school and want to dress up for the day cause you feel like it, choose a cute dress or your favorite abaya (yeah, you know the one ♥). Wear a cardigan that flows with the dress if it is strapless or short sleeve and it's always good sense to wear something like a sweater, cardigan, blazer, etc. to top a abaya off. Now for the best part, wear a hijab you feel comfortable in, that looks good with the rest of your outfit and style it in your favorite way. There you go, you have a cute and modest outfit!
~And always remember when you are dressing up that it's to impress Allah)SubhanaWaTaAla) not that one cute guy in your biology class or to look better than the girl who sits next to you in English.
~~♥~~
I hope this was of benefit to you, In'Shaa'Allah.
