Every girl comes to a time in her life where she feels attracted to someone, whether she is just a teenager or a women close to marriage.
There is absolutely nothing haram in having feelings.Actually, it is good for you because you are growing up.
In Islam, it is haram to look at the opposite gender more than once due to getting feelings and going with things the haram way.
But, learning to lower your gaze might be hard when you live in a westernized world where you live near the opposite gender or even go to the same school and classes with them.
Yes, it's hard. It's hurtful. But, it's avoidable.
Honestly, it can be so frustrating but here are some tips you can try.
-stop talking about guys so much. And when I say talking about guys I mean giggling with your girl friends about hot guys and shirtless hunks or whatever.JUST STOP!!
I am a teenage girl. And man is it hard to lower my gaze especially because I go to a public high school and I see a lot of good looking guys. I mean, I go to classes with guys and I am almost always surrounded by guys.
But I always remember Allah's reason for wanting me to lower my gaze. It isn't because He doesn't want me to fall in love. It's to protect my heart and my life from that will only hurt me. Allah All-Mighty only wants you to live your life happily with the one person who is RIGHT for you. The reason that He is testing you with all these other good-looking guys is to see if you are strong enough to deserve Mr. Righteous. Allah AzaWajal doesn't want you to go through a million heartbreaks with guys who will only wreck you, lower your self esteem and respect for yourself, and leave you.
Allah AzaWajal will NEVER leave you. And He only wants the best for you. So remember when having difficulty lowering your gaze that Allah All-Mighty made this rule to protect you and lift a burden from your heart that you only bring upon yourself.
Allah AzaWajal will never burden a soul with more than it can bear (Quran. 2:286). And darn girl ain't you strong, MashaAllah! :)
Yes, it is difficult but its doable. So girl get ready to lower dat gaze and practice your deen better.
