"Justin!" I screamed, trying to wake him up. He keeps screaming and throwing his body everywhere. He's having a really bad nightmare.
"Justin!" I screamed, even louder. I tried to shake his body awake, but it's not working.
"Justin, baby! Please! Wake up!" I screamed, stroking his cheek. He flinched and started screaming even louder. I brought my lips to his and he stopped throwing his body and stopped screaming. He finally woke up and brought his hands to my face and kissed back. I pulled back and he had tears in his eyes.

"Babe, what's wrong" I whispered, wiping away the tears with my thumb. He shook his head. "What was your dream about?" I asked. He looked down and didn't say anything.
"Justin-" "It was my past. My terrifying past" he finally let out. I froze. He never talked about his problems to me.
"You can tell me, Justin" I said, rubbing his hand with my thumb. He sighed and looked up at me with more tears in his eyes.
"When I was little, my dad left me and my mom. She turned into a bipolar manic and always beat me whenever she got drunk" he started sobbing.
"Shh. It's okay" I said, wiping his tears away.
"One night, when I was about 7 years old, I came home from school and she was drunk. She got mad because she thought I was late so she pinned me to a wall with rope and beat my face for about 10 minutes straight" he said. He sighed and shook his head. "I remember wanting to just die right then and there" he continued, crying harder.
"and luckily, my neighbors, at the time, heard me and her screaming and called CPS and I got taken to a foster care and my mom went to prison. That's when I met my new family. Pattie and Jeremy took me in and adopted me about a month later. I always had anger issues and always got into fights and gangs and stealing because of my past." he said. He looked up at me.
"That's why I flinch every time you touch my face. That's why I punished you all the time" he said.
The reminder of his punishments killed me. Just knowing what he got was way worse than what he did to me, killed me on the inside.
"The dream was of that day." he sighed. I didn't know what to say. I never knew anything about Justin and for him to tell me all of this was surprising. I felt so bad for him.
"I'm so sorry" I said, about ready to cry. How could a mother be that cruel to her own son? It's not right!
"It's not your fault, baby girl. You've changed me for the better." he said, rubbing my hand.
I nodded and looked at him. His tear stained cheeks made me want to just jump into his arms. I crawled into his arms and hugged him like a big teddy bear. I looked at the clock behind him and it read '2:00' in the morning.
"I need to go back to sleep" I said, releasing him. He nodded. I crawled into his arms and fell back asleep.

*Knock knock* "Room service" I heard a lady call from outside the door. I got up and opened the door. A small, middle aged woman was steering a cart with a bunch of breakfast food on it. "Good morning" I said.
"Good morning. How is your stay so far?" the lady asked.
"Good." I replied.
"Very good." she smiled and turned to the food. She picked up two plates with eggs, toast, sausage and bacon on both of them.
"Here you go. Enjoy" she said, handing them to me, with forks.
"Thank you" I said. She smiled and I closed the door. Justin stirred awake as I set the plate down on the kitchen table.
"Food's here" I announced. I don't think I've ever seen Justin jump out of bed so quickly in my entire life.
"Good, I'm starving" he said, kissing my cheek before sitting down.

His food was gone in minutes. I barely touched my food, since I'm still not feeling all that great. "Babe, why aren't you eating?" Justin asked, putting his plate in the sink.
"I'm still not feeling good-" I started, but was cut off from nausea rushing over me. I ran to the bathroom and puked once again.
"Babe, we need to find out what's wrong with you" Justin said, holding my hair and stroking my back. I nodded and flushed the toilet.
"It's not like we can go to the doctor's office though. I'll be noticed" I said.
"I have a friend that's a doctor that'll have to check you out" he said. "I'll give him a call" he said, getting up and walking out.
I got up and brushed my teeth. I heard him talking on the phone and I walked in.
"Thanks. I'll see you tomorrow" Justin said, hanging up.
"What did he say?" I asked.
"We're going to see him tomorrow in the afternoon" he said.
I nodded. "What do you wanna do today?" he asked, dropping his phone on the bed.
I raised my shoulders in response. "I don't know" I said.
He stood there and stared at me for the longest time.
"What?" I laughed.
He smiled. "You're just so beautiful, Lexi" he said.
I blushed and looked down at my feet.
"Wanna just watch movies all day and cuddle?" He suggested. I nodded and crawled into bed next to him and he turned on Netflix.
"What movie do you wanna start with?" he asked. He kept scrolling down and I saw the movie 'Cyberbully'.
"Ooh that one!" I said, pointing to the screen.
"Cyberbully? Really?" he giggled.
"I love this movie" I said.
"Okay" he sighed, clicking play.
