((2.O6K WHAAAAA????? omG also you should be glad to know that like 3 years later after starting this story i learned how to spell straitjacket ))

((wee bit of a smut warning. but it's necessary so shushhhhh and enjoy it))

"You're warm..." I said into the thick darkness of the room.

The lights were off and Leo was lying on me on the couch, his head resting on my chest and his feet hanging off the arm rest.

He was staring at me right now, and I could tell even if I couldn't see. I feel his eyes boring into me and I wanted to watch them. But I also wanted to sleep. "I know. That's why I hated the straitjackets. It got really hot and I couldn't take them off," he said and tensed as he heard me groan at the word 'straitjacket'.

He scooted up on the couch so his head was tucked in the crook of my neck. "We're okay, Nico. "

I found his hand in the dark and took it into my own. I slid my fingers up until I reached his wrist and felt his pulse... His heart was beating at a steady, relaxed pace and I took comfort in that. He was right here next to me and we were okay.

"They won't take you from me," his voice was hard and heavy and I put my hand on his chest; his heart beat picked up a bit.

He untucked his head and tilted upward until his lips rested on the shell of my ear, his steady breathing making my skin tingle. "I promise," he whispered.

"When did you become so serious?" I ask, trying to shake the dark mood. Where was the annoyingly happy vomit boy I had met? Not that I didn't like this side of him...

"This sounds really cheesy but... I realised I really like you. And I don't want to be away from you," he laughed bitterly. "God, my life sounds like a Disney movie."

"We're escapees from an asylum," I noted and laughed as well. "I don't think Disney could take that stretch."

Leo snorted. "Also we're gay so...."

I nodded. "Yeah, so your life is nothing like a Disney movie. It's just... special."

He shrugged in agreement and was silent for a moment and I started to drift off...

"Nico..." he whispered, poking my cheek. "Are you asleep?"

I pushed his finger away. "Um... I was about to be. What do you want?" I asked.

"I can't sleep. And I'm bored," he said and laid back down on me on his back.

"Well... What do you wanna do then?"

He flipped over and I winced slightly as his elbow pressed into my stomach. He put his face into my chest and laughed. The vibration felt weird but I didn't complain.

"Can we kiss again?"

I coughed. "Um. What?" I asked. Maybe I didn't hear him right...

"Please?"

Oh, my, God, he was serious, I thought and looked up at him. Play it cool.

"Did you enjoy it that much?" I asked, subtly trying to embarrass him for revenge.

My plan failed though because he simply nodded. Well, I thought, irritated. He has no shame. "I enjoyed it too."

He got off of me and watched while I sat up and like before he sat in front of me. I wasn't really sure how to start so I just stared down at my hands in my lap. Before, it was so easy... I wasn't sure what had happened.

Thankfully, Leo saved me from my embarrassment by taking the lead this time. He put a hand under my chin and lifted my head until his nose brushed against mine. "I like you..." I mumbled, suddenly feeling the need to say it out loud.

He nodded and pecked my lips before moving to my jaw. "L-leo..." I breathed, feeling a bit of panic rise in my chest.

I tried to ignore it as his lips grazed my skin and his warm breath spread across my jawline. He finally settled on a place, almost directly under my earlobe and sucked on it, drawing a sigh from me.

Too close, too much, I think and pushed him off, his lips disconnecting from me with a quiet pop.

"What'd I do?" He asked frantically, sounding just as panicked as I felt. "I'm sorry, I should've— I— I'm sorry," he stuttered and scratched at his scalp.

I shook my head and shrugged. "I haven't been touching many people for a while and I mean..."

"Oh, God, yeah— I forgot! It's okay, though. If you don't want to do anything you don't have to, bro."

The nickname broke my train of thought. "We almost made out and you call me bro?"

He laughed and nodded eagerly. "It's a manly petname. "

"Mhm..." I respond sarcastically. "We can just lay here, okay? No ...touching..., no kissing—just lay here." I said, suddenly feeling like a nun chaperoning a middle school sleepover.

Leo smiled. "That's fine." He wrapped his arms around my waist and tucked his head into the crook of my neck once again. "I'm thankful... just for this, y'know. I'm so tired of being alone, and hurting everyone, and ruining everything. But we're okay now. And just laying here with you is the best thing that's happened to me in years."

I, tired, nodded and yawned. I put my forehead on Leo's shoulder and wrapped my arms around his waist as well. "Me too."
