The next day, Luke met me at my locker. His bright blue eyes had tears in them but he had a bright smile on his face.

"Hi, Luke." I smiled.

"Hi, Ash! Penelope wanted me to invite you to her party this weekend." He said with a grin that didn't meet his teary eyes.

"Oh, I'd love to." I responded.

"Great! I'll tex-" Luke was cut off.

"You won't text him anything, fat ass. Now get the hell out of my sight, skank." It was Hunter.

Luke sniffled a bit, but ran off with his head down. Hunter rolled his eyes and leaned on Lea's locker.

"What the hell was that?" I demanded.

"Just telling the skank to fuck off. Nothing I haven't done before." He said.

"That was rude. But what do you want?" I sighed.

"To let you know how stupid you are. My sister and her cronies are awful. They're like Regina, Gretchen, and Karen from Mean Girls only meaner and thinner." Hunter exclaimed.

"Are you sure? They didn't seem too bad." I spoke.

"I'm positive. They're absolutely awful. Especially the boys. Calum's had sex with, like, every person in this school. Michael's only passing his classes because the teachers all fancy him. And Luke's well Luke! His fucking nudes leaked and his tumblr is full of trashy videos of himself getting off! How do his parents not get mad at him?! Oh wait, he probably let's them use him like a little fuck toy. Anyways, if you decide to sit with them again, do me a favour and tell me if my sister talks shit about me. Bye, Ash." With that, Hunter walked off.

      I sighed and rolled my eyes. So what if any of that was true? They were nice people and I didn't plan on ratting out Penelope. If I wanted friends, I had to earn their trust and that meant I wouldn't tattle on them to their older brothers for gossiping. Penelope didn't even talk about anything more than the hot guy at the nail salon that she saw.

      I continued going over what Hunter said on my way to first period. I sat down at the table where Calum was hugging Luke, whose face was buried the tan boy's neck as his body shook with what I believed to be sobs.

"Is he okay?" I asked.

"He-uh...no. He's having some family problems." Calum explained.

     I nodded just as Michael sat down. He quirked an eyebrow at them as if to say 'what's up with him?' which Calum replied to by mouthing something I didn't catch to him. Michael's whole demeanour changed as he moved closer to the pair and whispered something in Luke's ear before kissing his temple and retaking his seat.

      Eventually, Luke settled down and took his seat, drying his eyes with his sweater paws. He sniffled a bit and I realised that must've been what was crying about this morning.

     The rest of the day went on fine and I ended up getting the address to the party Luke had told me about at lunch. It was on Friday at Penelope and Hunter's house. It was currently Wednesday and I was sitting on my bed doing algebra homework. I was interrupted when my younger brother, Harry, came into my room.

"What do you want?" I groaned.

"Some guys are here. They said they're your friends." He said before leaving.

     I furrowed my eyebrows as I stood up and walked downstairs. No one at school knew my address, so how did anyone find me? As I reached the front door, I found Michael, Calum, and Luke standing in the doorway while my younger sister, Lauren, checked them out. I rolled my eyes at her gently pushing passed her.

"They're too old for you now run along and play with your dolls." I said.

"Whatever. But I do not play with dolls anymore, dumbass. I'm thirteen and have an iPhone." She snapped before going upstairs.

"Hi, Ash. Sorry we just dropped in but we wanted to know if you'd like to go shopping with us." Calum smiled.

"Oh, yeah, sure. I'll let my mum know, hold on." I said, hurrying to the kitchen where my mother was. "Mum, my friends and I are going shopping, I'll text you when we're coming home."

"Oh, um, alright, see you later, honey." She spoke.

    I returned to the boys and smiled, totally forgetting to ask how they got my address, and we headed off.
