Chapter two:

Maya's POV

*flashback*

"W-why did you do that?" I ask Lucas
He looks at me with a blank expression,  my heart is racing like a cheetah right now, waiting for him to at least say one thing.
"I- I don't know, I just wanted you to stop," he replies, obviously shaken from what happened. I look down and listen to the fire cracker in the background. Yes I was to scared to look at him, I was just to nervous to see what his expression was going to be.
I then realised that this wasn't a fairytale moment, it was him trying so so hard to tell me that he likes Riley, not me.

*end of flash back*

"Maya, MAYA," Riley yells at me.
"What?!" I yell back. She looks a bit taken back but replies. "We're at school maya," She says.
"Oh," was all I could say. Riley then gets out of the car and just as I'm about to follow Shane pushes me back onto my seat.
"So you never told me what your dream was about," he flirts.
I form a flirty smirk and whisper in his ear.
"Do you really want to know?" I ask.
"Yes, yes I do," he replies and I form an even bigger smirk.
"Well let's just say the special dream evolved pillows and blankets," I whisper.
"Ohhhh and what does that mean?" He asks.
"We were gonna build a fort happy?" I say with a stupid grin on my face.
He then rolls his eyes and pulls me out of the car with him.
"C'mon peaches were gonna be late," he saids with a smile.
"HEY ONLY I CAN CALL HER PEACHES," Riley shouts out of no where.
"Woah when did u get here?" Shane asks with a jump.
"and when did you get the right to call her peaches?" Riley replies obviously annoyed.
"Since then," Shane says and I start laughing and soon all of us are laughing.
We walk into school and Riley then runs for Lucas and jumps into his arms.
"LUKEY," Riley yells as he spins her around.
"Riles you saw him yesterday not 4 years ago," I say as I roll my eyes.
Lucas then fake gasps.
"How dare you judge rucas," he in a dramatic way.
"Rucas?" Shane says with a chuckle.
"Yeah it's me and Riley's couple name," Lucas said with a frown.
I saw Shane form a smirk and replies.
"Well me and Maya's ship is.. Umm... SHANEAYA!" He shouts with a boyish grin.
"Actually it's maya and I," we hear Farkle say from behind.

"Farkle," me and Riley say in unison.
"Ladies... And freaks," he replies while fixing his hair.
"Let's all just get to class guys." Riley chirps in.
"Okay by babe," Shane says and then kisses my cheek.
"Bye," I reply as the rest of us walk off to class.

"Okay class the civil war!" Mr Mathews States.
"The civil bore," I reply and roll my eyes.
"Thank you future Minnie market employee of the month," he says.
"Will be i be making more money then you?" I ask with a smirk.
He didn't say anything for a few seconds but then started again which made me and Lucas laugh.
He started to blab on for a while and I just doodled on my work book until the bell went.
"And don't forget to do your homework I'm looking at you maya," mr Mathews shouts at us as we leave the class.
"There was homework!" I shouts back and Lucas then chuckles at my reply.
God he is getting annoying, like he is smiling at everything I say or something.
"So we now have art," Riley began while eying me.
It stayed silent for a second like no one was going to reply.
"What," I say.
"Why are you staring at me?" I ask annoyed.
I see Lucas at the corner of my eye look down and his cheeks go red, eh it was probably Riley doing something cute and Lucas was blushing about it.
We catch up with Shane and we all walk into art class but of course we were late.
"And do you people have a reason why you are 5 minutes late?" Our new art teacher calls.
"Umm cause we had something way more important to do," Shane replies with his signature grin which made me laugh a bit.
Out art teacher rolls her eyes and continues with the lesson.
"I want you guys to partner up and make a poster about what you think trust is through art," she says and just about all the people in the class have their hands up.
"And yes you can chose your partners," she sighs and they all drop and people whisper 'yes' to themselves.
"but befoe you choose the partners I need to explain more about it," she begins and then pulls out her white board.
I see Shane walk out of the class room with out the teacher noticing and I just shrugged thinking that he needed to go to the toilet or something.
After she explained it all Farkle dashed to Riley's side and asked her to be her partners. Riley then smiled and they went to get their poster paper.
Shane still wasn't here so I just decided to wait for him but my plans were ruined when Lucas walked up to me.
"Hey maya wanna be partners?" He asked politely.
"Umm okay," I say not looking at him. "Just go get the paper," I snap at him.
He nods and walks over to get the paper.
"Hey babe, partners?" I hear Shane ask from behind me and I freeze.
"Umm... I'm already with Lucas," I stutter.
His face turns into a frown and then goes into a fake smile.
"Oh umm... Yeah that's fine umm yeah," he replies and walks away glaring at Lucas.
I sigh and Lucas walks back with the paper.
"Okay so my house or your house?" He asks me.
"Umm you can choose," I reply.
"Well let's go to your house unless you want to be raped my my older brother," he jokes.
I start laughing and then he does too.
Maybe working with ranger rick won't be so bad, even tho we have some bad history together.
