Chapter Twenty-Five (Part 4)

And the last part and this is the last part of the private chapter for those who didn't read it/ are too young.

He wrapped a hand around my waist pulling my body flush with his as he covered us with the blanket. The silence was almost comforting as my eyes started to droop.

"Eve."

"Yeah?" I asked half asleep.

"I love you."

And there went my sleep for the second time as my body stiffened. W-what. Before I could say anything I heard him speak again, which was a good thing because I had no idea what I was going to say.

"You don't have to feel the same, or say anything, I just wanted to say it so I did." His fingers stroked up and down my arm as I felt him kiss my shoulder.

Should I pretend I was sleeping? My heart was beating rapidly in my chest as I tried to think of what I could say, or whether I should just keep quiet. So I did what I do best, I kept my mouth shut.

Something was ringing. Something was annoying me. And my head throbbed from it. My eyes struggled to open and for a moment I was confused staring at naked chest I was using as a pillow. What the?

I sat up realising it was Nik, but that wasn't the cause of the ringing, something else was. I looked at his peaceful sleeping face.

Oh wait, the ringing sound.

I rolled out of bed, where the hell was my phone? I grabbed my robe from the chair pulling it on as I ran towards the lounge room, right purse.

The ringing stopped and I nearly walked back to sleep before it started ringing again. Great, someone was persistent at, I looked at the clock, six in the morning? Did I even sleep for long? I grumbled grabbing my purse pulling out my phone and looked at the Caller I.D.

"Jan?" I asked confused to why she was calling me at this time.

"Eve, finally oh god," there was something wrong with her voice and it made my stomach tighten.

I was almost scared to ask, "What's wrong?"

"There's been an accident."
