Charlotte's Point of View:

I sighed, throwing Kol's clothes in the wash. It was stained in blood. I saddened at the thought of him giving up hope of getting my mom back. He has been going out every night, draining bodies and he would come back, hoping I wouldn't notice. He does his fatherly duties during the day but by night he had turned into a monster. I hate to say it, but he was. I wipe my tears away before going back to my room. I decide to pick up a book and sit on my bed. I open it before seeing a letter fall out of it. i reach over and pick it up. Why haven't I seen this before? I open it and gasp in shock. It was a letter from my mum.

After reading it, I was in tears. I run downstairs to the basement, falling a few times due to tears blocking my vision. I open the coffin and take my mothers hand, and cry. I haven't cried so much in my life, "Come back to me, mum. I need you, dad needs you. We need you."

I look up and see my mum's eyes closed, pale grey face. I want her back so badly. I want to know my mum. I want my dad to be happy again, he's losing himself.

I wipe my tears away, before getting up, leaving the coffin open this time, and go back upstairs. I take a shower before lying on my bed, staring at the ceiling.

Elena's Point of View:

I could feel movement coming from my body. I move my fingers slowly. I take a deep breath and open my eyes. I was trapped in some box...I frown and kick it open using the strength that I have. I gasp for air, and sit up, breathing heavily. I take a deep breath gripping onto the sides of the coffin that I was being kept in. I look to the side, seeing that the lid of the coffin was on the floor, which meant that it probably had woken whoever was in the house...

I slowly step out of the coffin, before falling to the floor. I groan and get up slowly before rushing up the stairs but stumbling into the wall. I groan and hold my head, before opening the front door and kneeling on the floor. It was dark out, but the fresh air felt so good. I take a deep breath before collapsing completely.

Charlotte's Point of View:

I frown . I heard a noise but what it was I do not know. I groan and get up, before checking on Kol, except he wasn't there. I go downstairs, but theres no sign of anyone breaking in or anything. I frown, I must be hearing things.

"Dad? Are you home?" I call out. Maybe dad was home and drunk hence the random noises, but I couldn't find him. I rush down to the basement, but the coffin was open and more importantly, empty. I rush upstairs and call my dad,

"Dad?"

"Darling, are you okay? You sound scared..."

"Dad...I searched everywhere, mum's gone. She isn't in the coffin..."

"What? Where the hell is she? I'm..."

"Dad? Are you there?" I look at my phone, seeing that he had hung up on me. What the hell?

Kol's Point of View:

I rush home, finding out the news of Elena not being in her coffin. I stop in my tracks, and hang up on Charlotte, seeing a body outside the front door. It couldn't be...I walk over and kneel in front of the body. I mind the hair from the face before gasping. It was Elena. Elena...Elena must have woken up. I pick her up, bridal style and take her inside, setting her on our bed.

"Dad...?"

I turn around and see Charlotte, "I think your mum has awoken...but I am not sure..."
