My long blonde hair blew around, as the ocean air whisked through it. I ran faster threw the wet sand, that stuck in between my toes.

I turned my music louder as "Love Somebody" by Maroon 5 came on, making the music blast through my purple ear phones.

My lunges longed for more air, making me pant. I stopped running, and put my hands on my head. I pulled out my ear phones, and let them fall down onto the sand, the music still making its way through.

I took deep breaths, filling my lunges with the air it desired for. I placed my IPod on the sand, along with my shirt and shorts, leaving me in my bikini.

I walked slowly into the calm waves, letting the cool water climb its way up my legs. Once the water was up to my hips, I dove into the cool liquid, refreshing my warm skin.

I swam up to the surface, gasping for air. I turned over, and floated on my back, looking up at the clear blue sky.

"Nice day isn't it?" I heard a girl chirp from the sand.

I snapped my head over to the voice to see my best friend Riley.

I smiled and swam back to the shore.

I jumped out of the water, and ran to her, hugging her tightly.

"You're lucky I'm in my life guard uniform, because you are soaked." She said making me laugh.

"Are you feeling better?" I asked her, as I slipped my shirt and shorts back on.

She nodded, and picked up my IPod. "Just a little bug, nothing to worry about." She shrugged.

"A little bird told me your sister's boyfriend is in town." She said wiggling her eye brows at me.

"He's." I paused, not knowing what to say about him.

Do I say he's nice?

My sister likes him?

"Nice." I finished my sentence, but I could tell Riley knew my answer was un sure.

She rolled her eyes, but kept her mouth shut, as we walked up the sandy hill to my families shop.

I unlocked the old wood door, and swung it open, letting Riley walk in. I followed behind her, and made my way behind the counter.

She jumped up, and sat on the counter, as I grabbed the box of inventory I didn't finish the other day when I met Logan.

The floor creaked as I walked over to the isle with all of the protein bars.

I set the box down on the floor, and sat next to it.

"So what's his name?" Riley asked, jumping off her seat on the counter, and making her way over to my spot on the floor.

"Who?" I asked, placing another granola bar on the steel rack.

"Your sister's boo." She said, laughing.

"Please don't ever say that again." I laughed at my best friend.

She rolled her eyes at me. "Ryan, or maybe Za-"

"His name's Logan." I sighed, running a hand through my wet, blonde hair.

"Ooh, Logan." She placed her hand on her hip.

I threw a candy bar at her, and she caught it, peeling open the top.

"Thanks." She smirked, before running back to her spot, on the store's counter.

The small, gold bell above the door rang, and I heard Riley jump off the counter.

"Why hello." She flirted, shamelessly.
