Esme's POV
Since my school is not too far I will just walk. I see my bestest friend Nazjaa walking from her house too. Yes we are neighbors! She is wearing a white croptop, a light green high-low skirt, and some white toms, she has her hair straightened going down her back. Once we see eachother, we run up and hug. Hey bestfriend , she says. Hi bestfriend, i say. Then we start catching up and talking about what we think will happen when we get there.
Nazjaa and I keep talking until we see a car and a bunch of people laughing. Then we see a boy walk out.He looks sad as everyone picks on hi. Now I recognize who it is. Jaden Smith. I wonder why people are making fun of him. He is famous right? Most girls throw themselves at him.I met him one time because our dads our friends, but nothing seemed different about him. Nazjaa and I look at eachother and shrug.
We put our stuff into out new lockers and see if we have the same classes. I have 2 of the same classes as Nazjaa. Chemistry and Dance. We say our goodbyes for first period, and I walk in right before the bell. There is no teacher yet so i look at the seats. Everybody here is my friend so it is not that difficult, but I also see Jaden. He is in the back alone and has his head down. I think I will sit next to him. As I walk down my friends greet me. Sup meme, my friend ken says. Hey esme, my other friend loren says. They all look at me as I pass them to sit by Jaden. They give me a face , and so does Jaden.
Jaden's POV
I see someone sit next to me from the corner of my eye. I look up and I see Esme, I met her before our dads our bestfriends. She smiles at me, and I look at her with a worried look. I tell her, You might not want to sit by me, unless you wanna be classified as a nobody. Her smile turns to an angry face. She says, You are somebody, you are freaking Jaden Smith, and honestly I don't care what people think of me. I look at her with a face of suprisement. She certainly ment it. Then I noticed her face, I haven't really noticed how beautiful she was. I found myself staring while she gave me a strange look.
She said, why are people treating you this way, and why are you letting them? I sighed and said, well you know recently After Earth came out, everyone thinks I only got the role because of my parents, plus everyone thinks I am spoiled brat after the video screaming about how rich I am came out. She looked at me and said, wow well you still didn't answer my second question. I had to think about this one, I honestly don't know why I am letting them do this to me. I said, I dont know, I guess since I am new I don't want to make any more drama. Plus I have no friends. She gave me a smile and said, I am your friend. I smiled knowing atleast someone liked me.
