Chapter 4: Meeting Him

Maine' POV

As expected, Aunt Velma knew that I hate shopping but still she is good at using her pleading power.

So we had shopping yesterday. It's not that I don't like shopping, but I don't like the thought that making myself like a barbie doll. I don't have the so called 'sexuality confusion', you know.

She hired three people to help me prepare myself. They had done my manicure, pedicure, and even wax. When they said that they will remove all my unwanted hairs, what they mean was wax. I got angry but they said it is needed because that is one of the order from my Auntie.

They had done my light make up and my hair too. I control my anger but I won't deny that I like what they had done to my hair. My hair is long and wavy covering my back, they made it straight, almost half of the lower-part of my hair curl and they put some hair dye with color of I think, red but it's lighter.

I am wearing the cocktail dress that my Auntie got yesterday in the mall. All the accessories, bags and shoes, she gave it all to me. I surely know that my Auntie like spending a lot of money. She told me what to use yesterday.

If your asking me what specific dress I'm wearing, I am really telling you that I don't have any idea. It is because I am not good at it but I can describe it. It's a tube dress, strapless and it has a lot of ruffles. The color is sky blue. It's reminding me of the fairytale Cinderella.

I am already prepared when I heard that someone is knocking at the door.

I saw a man at the window wearing a uniform, I think he is the driver.

"Ma'am, your Aunt Velma is asking if your ready, they are waiting for you outside." He said with authority.

"Oh, wait a minute. I forgot something." I am in a hurry getting a silver purse paired to the color of my gown. I quickly run at my room.

"I am coming!" I said cheerfully as I was running down the stairs.

I saw a beautiful car outside and saw my Auntie waving at me. Uncle was smiling at me while nodding. I heard Auntie said "I told you so".

When we got ourselves inside the car, Auntie sheepishly smile at me.

"Your so beautiful Maine, you really look like your mother." Uncle said, complimenting me.

"I surely and definitely will agree to you, honey. I'm so great, this idea is from me." Auntie said grinning to Uncle.

"What idea do you mean Auntie?"

"Oh w-well, it's n-nothing never mind." I  felt something why Auntie was stammering, but I let it go anyway.

I know your wondering where we are going. Well, my Auntie said that where going to an elegant party. I think it is connected to some kind of business. She told me that my brother can't come so I will be like, his proxy.

*AT THE PARTY*

When we got out of the car, everyone was looking at us. No, they are looking at me. Piercing their ayes directly at me. Maybe because, I am a new face for them.

Auntie smiled at me, an assuring smile.

"Your really a head turner, young woman. I bet everyone was insecure to your beauty." Uncle said quietly to my ear.

I instantly blush with that thought to my self. Auntie nodded, agreeing to Uncle as she saw me blushing so she keep on teasing me.

Everyone keep greeting my Uncle and Auntie and they always introduce me to them.
