Chapter 6: Alden's Problem

Alden's POV

When I finally arrive at the hospital, my father said that my grandmother had a heart attack. My grandmother is already old. She is like, living in the hospital because she is also diabetic.

I know my grandmother is suffering because of her sickness.

But then, my father order me to go home because my sister was left at home.

As I go home, only few people were still there. When I left the party to go to the hospital, my mother take care of the it  and besides it's almost done already and the others were already leaving.

I am finding my sister but I decided to check her room first. I run at the stairs to go to my sister's room. I saw a 4 year old girl crying on her bed. I joined her, I sat at the side of the bed.

"Hey, why are you crying? Did something happen?" I wipe her tears using my thumbs.

"I-I just thought t-that your leaving me. You run away and did not say a thing to me" She said still sobbing, I patted her back up and down.

"Why would I leave you? I was in a hurry, okay? That is not going to happen again, promise." I said stopping her from crying. Her face immediately lit up.

"Promise?" She asked smiling. She look so cute so I pinch her cheeks.

"Ouch!" I freed her immediately.

"Sorry, your just so cute." I said pleadingly. "And yeah, promise." I said again and I fold my hands together. That is our gesture to say that we are serious or we are promising about something.

She smiled but she stare at my wrist. I look at my wrist and I was shocked that I am not wearing my bracelet anymore.

"BB(Big Brother, her special endearment for me), you said that your bracelet was special because it was given to you by a very special person but why your not wearing it?" she look worried.

"Oh, baby, maybe I lost it when I was running. I will find it, don't worry too much."

She hugged me and I hug her back.

"Now sleep, wait for our maid. I will tell them to make your milk." She quickly lay herself and smiled at me.

"Okay, thank you!" I just nod and smiled back at her.

I was at the lobby, thinking the pressure I would feel because tomorrow will be the day that I am going to our company. But, my real problem was my sister. I want someone to give her an attention she needed. I was thinking of hiring a maid that will also personally take care of my sister. I do not trust our maids here.

"Excuse me Sir." someone said. I looked up and saw my assistant.

"Why?" I calmly ask.

"I already got a person you like to hire. She passed all the requirements and suits perfectly for the job." She said like she is so satisfied.

"Okay, everything was in control. I think I need to prepare myself." I will do my own responsibility and that is taking care of our company.

By the way, my flight will be at midnight. All my luggage was prepared, I should be there by tomorrow. I was assigned to the office in the Philippines, that is our main office and our business was originated there. It is also my parents homeland.
