chapter 14

Zoeys POV: I dropped the straightner and ran over to Jade. "What's wrong why did you do this" I asked her worriedly. "I want to go home" she replied crying. "But there's no one there and this is our home now" I said and she cried even harder. I took the blade out of her hand and threw it out of the room. "Don't ever touch that again" I said and hug her tightly. She continued to cry and Alex walked in. "What happened why is there blood everywhere" he asked slurring his words. "She wants to go home" I told him and he just stood there his face had no expression. He walked over to her and told me to get out. I walked out of the bathroom and closed the door. I walked over to the blade and carefully picked it up. I went to the sink and washed the blood of wrapped it in a paper towel and threw it away. I felt so bad for Jade I want to go home too but there's nobody there anymore. Everyone is gone. Thanks to Alex.

That's when thoughts started flooding into my brain. Why do I want to stay with him he killed my parents my brother and he kidnapped me. What if he's only keeping us to get revenge for his dad what if he just wants to kill us. We need to leave soon. I will tell the others. Alex walked out of the bathroom with Jade and I acted like nothing was she walked back to her room and went to bed. I didn't want to talk to anyone but I needed to tell Kat. I walked into Kat's room and she was sitting on her bed crying. I immediately ran over to her and sat down beside her. "What's wrong" I asked her. "We need to leave I don't want to be here" she said while crying. "I know were getting out of here tonight but we need to talk to Jade first" i told her and we went to Jades room and she was sleeping. we felt bad for waking her up but it was for an important reason so i dont think she would mind. "we need to talk its really important" i told her and she sat up and made room for me and Kat to sit down. "what do you want to talk about" Jade asked me. "we are all getting out of here tonight we have all realized how horrible it is to stay here with this guy" i finished off and she nodded her hand to let me know she understood. i got up and shut her door and locked it so nobody could walk in while i was explaining the plan. I made sure to whisper just in case they were still listening.

"ok so tonight after they go to sleep we need to gather our things and run and we dont stop dont look back just keep running, and we are not going to the police" i stopped to take a breath. "where are we going to stay" Kat asked confused. "I guess we will wait and find out" i said. we went ahead and gathered most of our things and hid them so they would suspect anything. i decided to leave a note saying we werent going to the police that we just coudn't stay with them any longer. I had no idea at all of what we were going to do after we were no longer in this house. We can't just ive with another random person because its starting to get very risky to do that. We would have to some how get ahold of one of our family members or something. Because i don't think any of us feel safe around strangers anymore. "Can any of you get ahold of any family members to come and get us i could try and get ahold of mine too" i said and we all pulled our phones out. Neither of them had any family members in their contacts and i didn't either. But i had one person i knew i could always depend on. my best friend from kindergarten. I texted my friend Ema and she said they were already on their way to Indiana. I let her know that we were not escaping until tonight and she said to just text them the address their at because her dad wanted to beat the crap out of him

i figured that would be really fun to watch. I messaged her the address and she said they would be there within 5 hours. And her dad said for us to stay put in that house until he had gotten there and we all obeyed him. he was most like going o get the police after he beats the crap out of Alex. Tori just left saying she was going to be with friends all weekend. She was goin to be coming home to a big surprise. we gave her hugs goodbye that was the last time we were ever going to see her face again and ever hear her voice and we were all happy about that. It had already been five hours and Ema said they were on the road and she said be prepared for her dad to storm in. we were at the table and we were all eatin so i told her that so it may be easier for her to find us. two minutes later she texted me saying they were here. i heard the door slam open and i was prepared for them to storm in. "Where are you" i heard Ema yell. "Were in the kitchen its down the hallway all the way" i yelled bak and i heard them all running down the hall. Alex just sat across the table with a stunne face. "I thought you loved me" he said a tear slipping from his eye. "and we thought we were all going to live normal lives, turns out we were both wrong" i said smiling and hen Ema and her dad burst through the door.
