"The undead? You mean I will turn into some organ eating thing from The Walking Dead?"

I could tell from the confused faces they didn't have television in this part of the world or realm or whatever this place was. I sat back against the chair I had and tapped my pencil against my pad in thought. Ever since this lady has came I've been getting a bad vibe from everyone, including twiddle dee and dumb in the corner over there.

She was beautiful beyond imagine, as were all women from this place I'm starting to realize. Her dark black eyes assessed me in a manner that made me feel as worthless as I knew I was now. She held back nothing and was sure to give it to me as raw and blunt as possible. If I'm not mistaken it was to hurt me but I was already hurt beyond repair. Every , "you're going to die, and fast" speech she gave was just another nail in my coffin and another conformation letter to paradise.

Except this last bit. From the was my hand shook as I wrote my first question of the evening must have been a sign that she had hit a string she was looking for. She knew this would effect me and it would be painful for me to hear.

"I don't follow your mundane references but I could only imagine it is for the weak minded. You will die and come to life trapped in the same rotten body. Soulless and never passing onto the higher realm." She was way too smug to be the kind of witch doctor that they said would help.

My eyes flicker over to the door where Owen was told to stand outside of. Apparently, he was too low a rank to deal with these affaires. I don't know what much about wolves but I do know betas are right below alphas. So I knew the brothers were still butt hurt over the kitchen. I was too. I never got my biscuits.

"Is there a way for me to completely die when the time comes." I write.

She snorts, "No. Whoever put the curse on you made sure you will suffer for all eternity." A smirk played on her lips making my hand itch to smack it right off.

Luke the pack doctor asked her a few more questions while I sat there looking at my options. Only I didn't have much of a choice. There was only one way all of this was going to end.

The feel of their intense gaze makes me frustrated. I couldn't take it anymore and choose to look up through my sheer black hood. His piercing chocolate eyes looked to mine and I made sure mine were as unreadable as his. An overwhelming need to crawl over this table and take his face in hand and smash our lips together passes over me and has my clenching my hands in my lap. My eyes flicker to his right to meet his brother's. Regret and sorrow show back at me making me sick to my stomach. How can two men be so different yet so the same at the same time?

"That will be all Charlotte." The cold brother says making me look back to him. "Luke, you both may leave. I'd like a word with Elizabeth. Thank you."

"Of course Alpha Manson." She says a little too friendly for my liking. She bows deeply showing off her cleavage and cuts her eye at me as she leave. A pat on the back from oblivious Luke and I am left in the room with the brothers.

I sit on the other side of the table from the brutes staring hard at the oak, willing a black hole to open up. A clear of the throat has me looking up on reflex and meet his gaze.

A strong hand runs through his hair as he lets out a tired sigh. My eyes watch it in envy wanting to do the same. His dark locks fall around his face in a mess as his strong gaze assess me. I gulp hard and grip my pen in my gloved hands.

"Elizabeth." I fidget pulling my hood closer to my face as Mark calls for me. Turning my head towards him since they can't see my face but only feel my gaze. His face shows every sign of an apology coming forth and I hardly wanted to hear it.
