Blistering headache. That's what I had. Oh! Also the shakes were rocking my body, and not in a good way either! My head slid down the tiled wall of some bathroom that I had found on my mad rampage of getting as far away from M&M as possible.
Freakin man whores!
I groan as my head hurts even more as I think of them. I was starting to hate that I cared this much about them. It was probably some magic pills they stuffed in the food to cause this.
Why couldn't my life be the boring accountant life that it was suppose to be? My mom would be texting me every other day about my marriage that didn't exist and Neil would be under my five inch heel while I held the keys to the bigger office. Nope! Life wanted to bitch slap me and send me into another reality! Thanks!
I used my right hand to run down my face and instantly regretted my decision since it felt like my skin was literally on fire. Looking at its yellow and green charm it also gain the ability to look like it was boiling my insides!
Sometimes I'm just that attractive.
I flopped onto my back on the cool tiled floor trying to cool off even for a moment. Maybe if I'm lucky the ogres will find me and eat me now. I seriously wouldn't even wish this on my worst enemy. Yes, even Neil.
The door creaked open and who ever it was must have been scared shitless cause they screamed and fell backwards hard. A light chuckle left my lips. Score one for Liz.
Like a grandma I wedge myself up and try to shut this man up before he alerts the whole god damn house where I was. Sweet pecan pie, I didn't want to deal with whore number one and two right now.
"Hey! Hey! Shhh!" I wave my hands at the dude that seem to be running out of breath and was silently screaming in terror. "I'm fine! You're fine. Even the house is fine! Now, shut the mouth please." I snappily hissed at him.
He snaps his mouth shut and breathes harshly while nodding a few times too many. Kid was young, buff as tacos, but still young enough to get charged and jail time for. His baby blue eyes looked terrified as he looked me over and leaned himself on the wall just outside the bathroom.
I sigh and do the same with the wall across from him in the bathroom. Running a shaking hand through my hair I feel the boiling had settled down for now. I peek up at the kid to see him looking at my every move. I nod to him. "Names Liz."
"I-I I am Chris. Chris is my name." His voice shaky. I smirk leaning my head up staring at the bleak ceiling again.
"Well, Chris. If you were wondering why I was spread eagle on the bathroom floor just now, I was trying to find the will to not kill myself."
"What?"
"Nothing." I sigh looking back at him to see his confused expression. "How old are you?"
"Nineteen. Twenty in a month or so." He says a little too proud making me hold back my laugh.
"How long have you been here? Just curious?"
"Ah let's see." He rubs his chin in thought looking at the tile. "Since about eight I suppose. Pa usually waits until we've shifted before we are enrolled."
I nimble on my lip thinking about what he said. "Didn't think they would start that young. You need to be at least eighteen to join the army back home." I mumble scrunching up my nose. They didn't have much a childhood. But, hell, neither have I.
"We also aren't mundane, Luna. We develop faster than humans." He puts in a little snobbish like.
I roll my eyes and the growl of my stomach fills in the silence between us. He chuckles hopping onto his two feet before holding out a hand. I take it and let him lead the way to which I could settle the need of the beast.
