I woke up in a heap of fur. I leaned back and came to realization. I was using the Beast as a pillow. I ran my fingers through its fur missing the softness of fur. I sighed and sat up walking and looking out a window. Nothing. I sighed and checked the door which was still locked. I groaned and walked back to the bed and laid down on my stomach. Beast proceeded to lay his head on my back and fall asleep.

I sighed and slowly fell into a darkness.

I awoke to a growl, I sat up quickly and saw the beast on the couch growling softly towards the window. I walked to the window and looked out horrified when I saw a enormous hoard walking towards us. I quickly opened the door and ran to the truck the camper was hooked to. I checked for keys and quickly found them in the ignition.

I ran back to the camper and opened the door and patted my leg and the beast jumped out. I ran and opened the passenger door of the truck and it jumped in. I quickly ran around with the heard getting closer by the second. I started the truck without a problem. It even had a full tank of gas.

I weaved in and out between cars, which was quite difficult. I got through the jam slowly but surely. the heard was right behind me when i finally stomped on the gas pedal and left the jam behind.

I was driving down a country road when I came across a small town. I sighed and patted beast's head and got out of the car. Beast jumped out and sniffed the ground slowly. I sighed looking back at the camper. It would be nice to have it. Especially on the go.I grabbed a bag and walked into a Kroger. I walked around and gathered what I could from the small town which wasn't much.

I walked out of the grocery store only to have a gun put to my head. I stood still and didn't look at the person.

"Drop your bag!" The kid my age shouted in a wavering voice. I dropped my bag slowly. I looked at the beast who was watching from a distance away growling every so softly.

"What's your name?" He asked in a loud voice.

"Mason," I said in a low voice.

"What?" He screamed at me.

"It's Mason." I growled and whipped my head towards him. I took in his appearance. He was short. But slightly taller than me. He looked a little skinny. His hair was black. He looked Chinese. I glared at him and he looked back timidly hands shaking on his gun.

"What's your name?" I looked at demanding it.

"Glenn." He said trying to straighten up a bit.

"Well Glenn have a nice day." I started walking away when a bullet whizzed past my nose. He shot at me.

I ripped my knife from my belt and turned and looked at him.

"You aren't going anywhere." He said in a voice more calm than at first.

"And you're gonna stop me am I right?" I questioned as I laughed.

"Yeah, Yeah I am. you move another step and ill kill you." He said not shaking any longer.

"Oh really what good will that do you. A possibly innocent girl oh she'll kill me. She didn't have anything wrong with me. I'll just shoot her to make sure then her beast will tear me to shreds." I mocked him my lips curling into an evil smirk at the end. Glenn looked at me in fear.

"That's right honey, go ahead and shoot, I'm not afraid of death. But you obviously are. You see that beast over there. The one by the wood line. You shoot me or touch me wrong. You'll be dead in seconds.

I turnt and walked back to my truck whistling.

"Wait!" Glenn yelled.

I turned around along with Beast who let out a low loud growl.

"Don't leave me please, look, look I have a group. They're nice. Good people. Kids, Women, The kids would love your dog."

I cut him off quickly, "Beast," I said in a hard voice.

"Beast. Look you'd be welcome with open arms. You seem nice and I need to get back to my family." I thought for a moment. I didn't know if I could handle people. I don't know how beast would act. But i quickly came to a decision it was worth a shot.

"Fine, Get in the back." I told him. He climbed into the back while I let beast in and got in myself. I sighed and looked in my rear view mirror wondering if I was doing the right thing. I started the truck and started down the road only to realize I had no clue where I was going.

I opened the back window and slowed down. "Where are we going?" I shouted to him.

He got up to the window so it wouldn't be hard for me to hear him. "It's this town it's called Alexandria. It's about 20 miles South. I felt my chest tighten and my face flush. I gripped the wheel harder as I realize where we were going. This was going to be fun.

We drove up to the gate only to have two rifles pointed our way. Beast began growling softly. I looked up at the people while I slowly said "Easy Boy." His growling slowly stopped. Glenn jumped out quickly and the guys dropped their weapons. In a split second the doors were being pulled open. I was shocked at the amount of people looking at us.

Glenn walked up to the car. "Just drive in. It'll be okay. I won't let them do anything. You brought me back to my family. I can't thank you enough." He smiled at me gratefully.

I slowly pulled in with the camper and sighed. I looked up and saw Ron standing there looking at me. I saw Sam standing behind Jessie. I grip the wheel tighter when I look at her. Memories flash through my mind quickly. My eyes started watering. Now was not the time to be weak. Even if my little brothers were standing a football field away.

I opened the door to the truck and allowed Beast to go out first. I sighed and stepped out of the car.

"Macy!" I heard a young boy yell.
