I was sitting in biology. Mr.sanders was sittin at this computer taking role."Brookes! Brookes, Karver!" He called out.

"Here," I looked over and saw Karver raising his hand. His eyes caught mine, but he looked away quickly. He was blushing. He bent over his notebook and began writing something down. I felt the strangest urge to go sit by him but both the seats by him were taken.

I remember this, my dream was a flashback. This was the day Karver had tried talking to me. I had ignored him.

MY dream began to fast forward. It was like I had stepped out of myself to watch. I saw myself gathering my books. I saw Karver stand, fidget then walk toward me. And then I watched in utter horror as I left the classroom just as he said "Hello Larkin." Suddenly I was sad, I wanted to slap myself, drag me back and make me talk to him. He looked crushed, but when his friends came to comfort him he laughed it off. He walked outand I followed him. The fast forwarding stopped. We were at lunch. He was sitting with the genioueses. I was on the other side of the lunch room with Mandy.

Mandy is my best friend. She's prettier then me, a cheerleader. Mandy's 5'2" , lean and incredibly gorgoues. She's skinny but not sickly looking, she has shoulder length brown hair, and her green blue eyes stand out under swooping bangs.

We were giggling, obviously talking abou one of the other girls. We only giggle like that when one of us has said some rude, witty thing about one of our female peers.

I had been sitting on the end of Karver's table watching me and Mandy gossip. It was strangley facinating to watch all the stupid facial expressions we made. I jumped off the table, landing without a sound, and walked to an empty table between the dream me and the Dream Karver. I was as I never stopped talking to Mandy. And I watched as Karver would look up every once in a while and stare at the dream me. I knew none of this was real but it felt real.

suddenly the scene changed. I was falling from the roof of my apartment building. Inches before I hit the cement sidewalk; I woke up.
