Mistakes and Regret

Michael and luke got ready and hoped into lukes car. They sang along to all the songs, even the super lame pop songs that they didn't like.

Michael smiled as they parked downtown, getting out and starting to walk around to all the shops. As they passed an Urban Planet, michael saw sweaters on sale, so he instantly stopped and looked up at luke with big puppy eyes and a pout across his lips. Luke smiled and walked michael into the store, watching his eyes light up with happiness. He instantly dragged luke to the sweater section. He smiled as he saw a big sign that read "ALL SWEATERS 2 FOR $20"

Luke smiled. He saw michael happily grabbing 2 sweaters he loved. One said "Dreams Come True" and was purple, and the other one was a light blue that had a big heart around a picture of a slice of pizza. Rushing over to a cashier and smiling, michael dragged luke behind him.

"Don't you want yo try those on mikey?" Luke said, smiling. Michael shook his head. "I know they'll fit because they're big and comfy looking" the lilac haired boy beamed. Luke couldn't help but smile.

Michael went to the first checkout line and handed the lady the sweaters, eyeing the two boys with an odd look. Luke scowled at her as she scanned the items. As michael reached in his pocket to pay, luke quickly bumped him to the side.

"I got it princess" the blond boy said with a wink. Michael blushed and the cashier rolled her eyes. He payed for the sweaters and proudly handed the bag to the cute boy beside him.

They walked out of the store and michael clung onto the taller boy, hugging him tightly. Luke giggled and hugged him back, runnings his fingers through the soft locks.

"Luke you didn't have to pay for me" Michael smiled widely.

"It's my treat. This whole day is" Luke said with a proud smile. Michael couldn't help but feel happy. He finally had a friend

As the walked farther, they approached an ice cream truck, and Michaels eyes went wide. Luke smiled and walked him over to the truck.

"What do you want mikey?" Luke asked as he sling his arm around the boys small shoulders.

"Soft serve swirl" Michael beamed

"Two medium soft serve swirls please" Luke said as the man handed him the ice cream. Luke handed the man a few dollars and handed mikey his ice cream. They soon found a bench and sat down to eat their treat.

"Thank you so much luke. For everything." Michael said, smiling like an idiot as he ate his ice cream cone.

"It's no problem mikey. I like spending time with you. And I always wanted a roommate" the tall boy said, smiling when he saw how happy michael was. That's all he wanted. For michael to be happy.

Man, luke really hopes michael won't be mad after tonight.

As it started getting dark, luke dragged michael down to the pier to watch the sunset. They sat on a park bench and sat together as the sun went down over the lake.

As it got darker, the lilac haired boy got colder, so luke wrapped his arm around him. They stayed like that until the sun went fully down, and all the way back to the car. As they were getting into the car, a tall honey - haired boy, a little taller than mikey, walked over to them.

"Luke!" The boy screamed happily. Luke has an expression of pure shock, but put on a nervous smile. Michael was just confused and awkward.

"Ashton? What are you doing here?" Luke said as the boy known as Ashton hugged him.

"My dad let me come home early! Isn't that great?!" Ashton said as he kissed luke.

Michaels POV:

I'm just delusional. Why would he want to be with me? I'm a freak man-child in a skirt. I was so stupid to think such an amazing guy as luke.

Normal POV

Michael was tearing up, clutching the edges of his sweater.

Luke's sweater.

Michael took off the sweater, leaving him in only a singlet.

"Michael what are you doing?" Luke asked, hurt.

"Going home" Michael replied, gathering himself together, turning away from luke and starting yo walk away. Luke walked after him

"But your living with me" Luke said reassuringly.

Michael shook his head

"You can live with ashton. You don't need me" he said as he walked faster

"Michael let me explain! Where are you going?!"

"AS FAR AWAY FROM YOU AS I CAN GET!" Michael screamed as he turned to face luke, tears streaming down his face as his body shivered.

Luke started do tear up. He made the beautiful creature cry.

Luke began to speak, when michael stated again.

"As far away from you as possible"
He whispered as he turned around, sobbing and walking down the sidewalk.
