Saturday Afternoon
"Bye mom" I yell "I'm going to hang out at Roselinda's house"
"Ok sweetie" mom calls "have fun!"
"I will"
I grab my bag and phone and start walking down the street to Roselinda's house.
I walk up the steps and knock on the door. Roselinda opens the door and gestures for me to come in.
"Hi Rydel how are you?" She asked
"I'm doing great Roselinda but if you want you can call me Delly, everyone else does" I answer
"Okay Delly! If you want you can call me by my nickname, Rose"
"Okay Rose so vhat do you vant to do?"
Rose gives me a weird look.
"You sound just like my brother" she explains
"Oh ok"
"Do you want to go swimming?"
"Sure"
After I'm done changing I start heading towards the pool when I hear something unexpected, drums. I walk towards the sound and find a boy playing his heart out on a drum kit. Without thinking, I start to hum a random melody to go with the beat. After a minute, he finishes and looks up. We stare at each other and smile like we're the only ones in the room, which technically, we are. Suddenly Rose walks in and the boy and I quickly look away from each other.
"There you are Delly. I see you met my twin brother."
"Ellington" she says to the boy "this is my friend Rydel"
"You're really good on those drums" I tell him.
"Thanks! By the way, that melody you were humming was killer!" Ellington says
"Do you still want to go swimming?" Rose asks
"Of course" I answer
As we go downstairs I can't stop thinking about Ellington. He's so nice and he looks really hot when he plays the drums. No wait, could it be? Am I falling for my best friend's brother?
Ellington POV
Rydel is awesome! She obviously loves music and she has an amazing voice! She is so sweet and genuine, that's what I love about her. I think I'm falling hard for her, and fast. Oh no, what if Rose finds out I like Rydel!
