chapter eleven.
Beau's POV.
So it wasn't as dramatic as Rose made out. Yes her two brothers, who were older than me, hadn't come home last night but lets be honest here. They were at a family event and didn't even drink that much. It's not like they got hit by a car or something stupid.
"Babe, maybe try and call them?" I said as I stroked her hair. Stroking her hair is what calms her down the most. It's how I got her through Oscars birth. Well that and letting my fingers be squeezed to the point I thought they were broken.
"You haven't called them? Don't panic then. Maybe they just got lucky?" Jai said with a slight grin on his face. Rose pulled out her phone and I could hear Tom pick up as the phone was so loud, even when it wasn't on loud speaker.
"Hey Rose-bud."
"Tom! Where are you? I've been worried sick!" Rose almost yelled down the phone.
"We're at the hospital."
"The hospital? Why are you there? Are you okay? Oh my god is Mark okay? Is he injured? Oh my god I'm getting in a taxi!" She said as she jumped up from her seat.
"Rose! Calm down!" I heard Tom say slowly as I stood to wrap my arms around Roses middle in a weak attempt to calm her.
"What's happened?" Rose said with sheer panic in her voice.
"It's grandad babe. He's... Well he's taken a bad turn."
"What? He was fine yesterday!" She said.
"Shortly after the boys left... The excitement got to much I guess. We called the ambulance and we've been here ever since."
"Is he okay?" Her voice had turned completely monotoned and she stared straight ahead of her.
"Well they didn't think he'd make it through the night. They don't recon he'll pull through another one..." Tom trailed off.
"We'll be there in 20 minutes!" And with that Rose hung up. She turned to me her face still unreadable.
"Beau I have to..."
"WE have to go." I interrupted her. She smiled slightly and I leaned down kissed her forehead. "You guys alright with baby sitting duties?" I asked as I turned to the boys.
"Yep sure! We're going into town with Skip and James anyway so it'll be fun!" Jai said as he smirked at me.
"Alright but don't let Daniel give him another energy drink again. The kids not even two yet!" They boys laughed and nodded. As I turned to Rose I saw she had a puzzled yet worried look on her face.
"What do you mean by again? Don't let him give him energy drinks AGAIN?" She said as the end of her lips turned up into a slight smile.
"I'll explain in the taxi." I said as I laughed slightly and nodded my head.

"One black coffee, two white teas, no sugars and a hot chocolate please, with extra cream." I said to the lady at the cafe counter. She was young, about 16 maybe. She had her hair in a messy, loose bun on top of her head. Her make-up was far to thick but I could still tell she was pretty underneath it all. She smiled as she looked up at me.
"And what's the name?"
"Beau." I said looking out the window of the cafe and into the hospital waiting room. We'd been here all day and it was 9 at night. Tom and Mark had gone home. They were still in there suits when we got here and they needed a shower but were gonna come back at about 10.
