Chapter Eighteen.

Chapter eighteen.

Rose's POV.

I woke up to the light streaming in through the curtains. I felt the strong, safe arms around me which made me remember all the antics of last night. I smiled into my pillow at the thought. I rolled around and kissed Beau as he woke up. His eyes fluttered open and he automatically smiled when his eyes met mine.

"Morning Beautiful!" He yawned as he pulled me close. I smiled as I looked over his shoulder. I saw the empty condom wrappers on the bedside table. It got me thinking. After a few moments of being silent Beau got worried.

"You alright Rose? Was last night to fast? I'm so sorry, I should of waited longe..." I pulled back and put my finger to his mouth to stop him from carrying on.

"No Beau. Last night was amazing and you waited more than long enough, trust me!" I said looking down so I didn't have eye contact.

"Then what's wrong?" He said lifting my head so I had no choice but to look at him in the eyes.

"If I tell you do you promise not to freak out and tell me it's to soon cause I know I am ready to handle it, okay? Promise?" I said without blinking at him. He looked worried but he nodded before I carried on.

"I want another child..." I said quietly.

"Rose, I don't know... I want more children too... But are you sure your ready?" He said after a moments silence.

"Beau, please this one time don't underestimate me. I'm ready. Your ready. We both want more children..." I trailed off. Beau didn't say anything. I couldn't look at him in fear of his saying no. My eyes welled up. I couldn't help it, I wanted this so badly.

After what felt like forever Beau had still said nothing and I couldn't stop the single tear roll down my cheek. It was now that I felt him shift. He leant over and kissed my lips. As the kiss deepened he shifted so he was on top of me. He pulled back and I could see tears in his eyes.

"Are you sure your ready for this?" He asked looking down at me. I didn't answer just pulled his lips to mine.

Beaus POV.

I sat fiddling with my fingers on our bed. I could hear the clock ticking it was so silent. I heard the bathroom door lock click open and I looked up as Rose walked out holding the stick. It had been four months since we agreed to try for more children. This was the first time that whole time that Rose's period was late. She placed it down on the bedside table and came and sat down next to me cuddling into my side as I wrapped a arm around her.

"How long?" I asked.

"2 minutes." She muttered. I nodded and we stayed in silence for the next 2 minutes till the alarm on her phone went off. I reached over and picked up the test. It was face down and I looked at Rose who held my eye contact as I turned it over. She nodded and we both looked down at the test.

I jumped up and picked her up and spun around. We laughed and giggled as we collapsed on the bed together. I was playing with her hands as she looked up at me still grinning.

"Lets not tell people yet." She said.

"Our little secret." I muttered as I lent in to kiss her.

We sat in the waiting room at the 12 week scan, waiting for our name to be called. Rose's morning sickness had been really bad and people were getting suspicious, because of this we agreed to tell everyone straight after the scan. They were over at mums right now watching Oscar for us. They thought we went to see our friend Melony who was Roses nurse in hospital. Our names were called and we walked into the room where Rose took the bed and I sat down in the chair not letting go of her hand.

"Alright Mrs Brooks, would you please lift up your shirt so I can reach your stomach." Rose did as she was asked. "Thank you, this may be cold." The nurse said as she squirted the blue gel onto Roses stomach. After a short time probing Roses stomach with the scanner the nurse looked around at us, she almost looked confused.

"What's wrong?" Rose asked alarmed at the nurses facial expressions.

"Nothing" the nurse said smiling. "Your babies are just fine!" She beamed.

"What? Babies?" I asked looking at Rose then back at the nurse.

"Yes Mr Brooks, it is my duty to tell you, you are expecting twins. And very healthy twins too I might add!" She grinned. I just looked down at Rose with tears in my eyes and kissed her forehead.

"Twins..." I muttered. "Are you ready for this?" I added.

"As long as their healthy!" Rose said tilting my head up so she could kiss me briefly.

"Would you like to see them?" The nurse asked. We both nodded, completely speechless. The nurse turned the monitor and there they were. Two little blips. It was clear as day on the screen. I couldn't hold back the tears anymore as I kissed Rose.

Rose was cleaned off and we got the print out of our twins. We walked back to the car hand in hand both grinning like crazy people. We were still grinning as we drove to my mums and carried on grinning as we walked into her house.

"Why you lot so happy?" Skip asked as he played with Oscar on the floor of the front room. Everyone was here, we might as well them all now. I looked at Rose who looked up at me still grinning. Both out eyes flicked down to Roses stomach before returning to look at each other.

"Oh my god!" Rachel cried out. Everyone turned to face her.

"What?" Luke asked.

"Don't you get it? You idiots!" She said throwing her arms in the air and running to hug Rose.

"What's going on?" Gina asked from the sofa.

"Rose is pregnant. We just came from her twelve week scan at the hospital!" I said with sheer excitement. Everyone cheered and got up to hug us one by one. Rose pulled out the print off and passed it to mum first. Mum looked at it then covered her mouth in shock.

"But... But this is..." She muttered dropping her hand from her mouth to reveal a huge grin.

"What?" Jai asked grabbing the photo and turning it around in his hands as him and Luke try to see what mum had seen. They gave up as me Rose and mum started laughing.

"It's twins you idiots!" Rose giggled at them. The room was filled with gasps and quiet "oh my god" 's and "what?" 's before everyone started cheering and came in for round of hugs too. We all sat down and started talking about twins. Luke and Jai were chuffed for there to be another set of twins in the family. After we explained to Oscar what it all meant he was over the moon and started running around like a mad man. James turned it into a game and started chasing him around the house.

After they all say down I looked around at my family. Luke and Rachel were cuddling in the corner as were James and Veronica. Skip and Holly had broken up so he sat with Oscar playing games as mum and Jai chatted quietly about nothing in particular. Finally my eyes found there way to my stunning wife who sat peacefully on my lap staring down at the print off from the scan. I leant down and kissed her neck.

"I love you... Unconditionally." I muttered into her ear.

Authors notes!

So this was the last official chapter :) there's a real short epilogue which I'll upload later tonight after I finish editing it. It just mainly says who ends up with who and tells you all about Rose's and Beau's twins and more :)
