The next day we went back to that dress store and I brought a ink tag remover. My brother Alex works at a clothing store so he let me use his stores ink rag remover. I was ready to do this. Commence Operation Perfect Dress. Attempt number 2. I got the dress and I went into the change room. I took out my ink tag remover and clipped the ink tag off. Wow. That was so easy. I should, steal more. Anyways, I shoved the dress into my purse and walked out of the store. I felt amazing! I just got away with theft. Time to celebrate this success with a burger! Mmmmmmm! After we finished eating I noticed a ketchup glob on the dress. OH NOO! I tried rubbing it off but it just smudged! AAAUUUUGGGHHH!
Mom noticed something was wrong so she looked at what I was doing. "What is that?" She asked. "Um it's my uh glasses cleaner cloth." She looked at me funny. "Tiffany you don't have glasses." I could not believe how lame my excuse was. The guilt started eating at me. The truth was trying to come out but I just swallowed and it went back down. Ah. Now I can lie. "Well there are Lidia's glasses cleaner cloth thing," I replied nervously. "Well she's going to be very angry that you got ketchup on it." I couldn't come up with another excuse. "Well we were going to tye dye it anyways so this little stain makes it look more beautiful." Mom smiled at me and said "Okay I believe you." I bit my tongue. This made me feel really bad. The truth was forcing its way up my throat so I drank my orange juice to push it down again. This whole thing made me really nervous. When we got home I hid the dress at the bottom of my closet. I needed to buy like a flower now to cover that huge stain. My last picture day has to be perfect. And by last I don't mean I'm gonna die after picture day. I mean that this is my last year in high school and after this year I will be in college and college doesn't have that free option of choosing you own out fit for pictures. You have to wear that black depressing outfit with the hat.
