"Well, I was just wondering... Do you wanna go out?" She asked while picking at the rest of her chipped, black nail polish.
"What made you come to this? I mean-" I was cut off by a static sound coming from a nearby intercom as it came to life.
"All grade levels report to the cafeteria for a 'First Day of School' assembly. Thank you!"
It went dead once more and an awkward silence set in as Bianca took her time to explain.
"You know, it's a new school with lots of new opportunities. I was thinking that we could help each other through it.." She's fidgeting now just like she always does when she's nervous.
What about...Leslie?
I inhaled to get rid of the thought.
I barely know the girl, and Bianca hasn't given me much of a problem when we dated in the past. We're older now, so maybe we have a better chance.
"I mean...sure. I don't see why not." My heart started to slow its pace, so I leaned on the wall like a cool guy trying to play it off.
Her eyes shot up from her shoes and she quickly kissed my cheek.
"Thanks for not being a jerk about it, Eren. Talk to you tonight." She smiled and headed for the cafeteria.
