Chapter 5

Sunday morning

Christian's POV

SLAM!!! I jolt up into a sitting position in my bed and out of the corner of my eye I see Adrian doing the same. I check my phone and it is just after 1 am. I look to my door and see Lissa standing there shacking. I immediately get out of bed, being careful where I place my feet because I don't want to fall, and go to Lissa. 'Lissa, what's wrong?' I ask her. She replies in a shaky voice 'Isabel.....she's crying and screaming....I can't wake her up.' She starts crying silently after she says this. I want to comfort her but I am currently more worried about what is happening to Isabel. I run towards Isabel's room. Before I go into her room I see Adrian go into Dimitri's room and Lissa go into Viktoria's room.

I go into Isabel's room and see her thrashing about in her bed, causing her sheet to tangle itself around her legs. I can also see tears on her face and fresh ones pouring from her eyes. I try to untangle to sheet from her legs but that results in me getting kicked in the stomach. I fell onto the floor because the kick was so strong. I didn't think that she was that strong. As I get up to see what else I can try to get her to calm down and wake up I hear her bedroom door open. I look behind me to see the Belikov sisters, Dimitri, Lissa, Rose, Adrian, Eddie, Sydney and Mia. 'Go wake up Olena and bring her here' I say to no one in particular and then Viktoria runs out of the room and hopefully to her parent's room.

I sit on Isabel's bed by her head and start talking to her and trying to calm her down. I continue to try this for a couple of minutes until Olena comes in. 'What's wrong with Isabel Olena?' 'I believe it is a night terror. It is impossible to wake someone up from a night terror so you will just have to wait for her to wake up by herself. I am going to go back to bed but please wake me up when she wakes up so I can see how she is.' With that Olena leaves Isabel's room and heads back to her own. 'If you guys want to head back to your rooms to get more sleep that's fine.' I say to them. Dimitri says 'I don't think I would be able to get much sleep because I am too worried about if Isabel is okay. She is practically another little sister. What about you guys?' Everyone else nods their head to show that they are in agreement with Dimitri.

Time skip - 1:35 am

Still Christian's POV

We have been sitting here in Isabel's room for the past 30 minutes waiting for her to walk up. During these 30 minutes she has continued to thrash around in the bed and cry but she hasn't screamed again.

I get up from where I was sitting on the floor near her bed to stretch because my legs are getting stiff. As I am standing up I hear Isabel's bed squeak. I look to the bed and she her sitting up with a confused look on her face. 'What are you guys doing in my bedroom?' I look around to see Dimitri, Lissa, Rose, Adrian, Eddie, Sydney and Mia looking at me. Viktoria had already left the room to get Olena when we heard the bed squeak and Karolina and Sonya had gone back to bed because they were really tired. Just as I am about to start explaining to Isabel what happened to her Olena walks in with Viktoria a few steps behind her.

'What happened to me Olena?' Isabel asked Olena. 'You had a night terror that was probably caused by the stress of you returning to primary school and dealing with the memories of your parents. You might remember what you saw during the night terror but you also might not because of the layer of sleep you were in when you had it. I suggest that you go back to bed and try to get some sleep so you feel better tomorrow. Same with you guys. See all of at a more reasonable time.' With that Olena leaves the room. I turn to the others and see them all yawning 'You should all go to bed because it is quite clear that you are all tired and we have plans for activities to do tomorrow.' Everyone heads back to the rooms they were sleeping in. I see Adrian standing by Isabel's bedroom, looking unsure of what to do. 'You can go back to my room and get back into bed. I will come in shortly.' 'Okay' he replies and walks out of the door.

I sit next to Isabel on her bed. 'Are you feeling okay? Do you think that you will be able to go back to sleep?' I ask her. 'I am feeling fine. Yes definitely. I am really tired still. See you later in the morning.' I then walk out of Isabel's room and head back to my own. When I get there I see Adrian sitting up on the mattress set up for him. 'How is she?' he asks me. 'She said that she is okay but I am not really sure if she is but I guess I will she how she is later in the morning.' I turn off the light, close the door and get into bed. I lie back on my pillows and close my eyes. As I drift off to sleep I think about what Isabel might have experienced during the night terror to cause her to scream, cry and thrash around in her bed.
