The words just kept replaying in my thoughts over and over again. Damn it Alesan you just had to run off didn't you? I keep pacing back and forth between the trees thinking where someone would take her in the middle of the woods. I walk back over to the fire at camp seeing that the broken twigs were still on the ground. I grin, and think about how she almost blew my head off for making the wood small enough. I pick up a small stone next to the fire ring, it was warm because of the raging fire. I throw to the stone hard and fast off into the woods. I didn't hear it hit the leaves just a low groaning noise. I curse under my breathe, well there went the peace. I hear more groaning off into the woods, hoping I just hit Zane.

Well that's a definite "no" sweet I'm going to die looking for the girl that I was supposed to protect. I run back to where I was laying she Fang came back, know that a Deagle and a knife aren't going to keep me alive this moment. I grab my rifle and I crouch behind the log hoping that Zane and Fang are somewhere safer than I am. that's when I heard running through the woods. Since when do these things adapt to running, they're slowed to jus eat my foot for lunch like the first one we saw did. I look over where Alesan was sleeping before she went on her adventure, and thank you sweet baby Jesus she left the sniper. I crawl over to the gun as fasts I can and run back her to he log and set up my range.

I hear the moan right in front of me about 50 feet I look down my scope and see Zane laying on the ground, and standing over him of course a flesh rotting zombie. I take a deep breathe and gently hug the trigger with my finger blowing the head off of the zombie. Damn her dad would be proud of me. Zane wakes up and jumps up quickly freaking out as the blood splattered on his face. Fang starts barking, I already know the is going to make things a lot worse. I look at Zane and motion for him to come over to where I am he quickly runs over to me and ducks down shaken and wiping the flesh and blood off his face. I hear me running as Zane quickly looks up, and sees his target. He grabs the bow and runs up in the tree behind us. I think to myself why didn't I just do that to begin with damn. I look down the sights of the rifle and see two zombies, I motion to Zane to take out the zombie on the right, and I'll take the one on the left. He motions back and draws his bow back as I look down my sights and take a breathe and gentle pull he trigger at the same time Zane releases his arrow. Both perfect headshots, wow this is ridiculous.

Zane jumps down and walks over to me. I look at him as we both agree that we need t find shelter, a safehouse, a shack, a shed, or at least something that will keep us out of sight. Just as I go to grab my rifle I hear a old moan behind me I grab a Deagle, and blow three shots off into the woods. I hear all three of the shots hit with a blood curdling scream piercing the flesh with each shot. I look at Zane hand him the sniper put the Eagle back in he holster grab my rifle and run as fast as we can to the east. I see a bright light in front of us that seems closer with each step. I stop running so that Zane and Fang can catch up, but jus as I come to a halt I hear a scream from ahead of me. It was a girls scream, it was Alesan. I knew she was safe, I holler at Zane and Fang telling them to follow the light. I pop a flare and run towards the light. I get to a large building and see a big metal door. I walk to the door as. hear he screaming again. Zane gets to me and j told him to circles he building for another entrance.
