I got up out of bed and walked to the bathroom , of course Myles wasn't home , he never is anymore , Brandon is almost taller than me now , he's only in 6th grade but he's super tall , he still plays hockey and football , he's now adding baseball to the mix , he's still my little boy, I graduated and I'm in school for nursing , kalin and Myles have blown up and they are well known now , always on tour , we moved out and into a bigger house, we are doing okay in life , we just never see each other anymore

I jumped in the shower and washed my hair and body , I got out and wrapped myself in a warm towel , I did my hair and makeup and then walked into my closet , I grabbed leggings and a long sleeved shirt , I threw on some roshes and grabbed my bag and keys , I walked over to Brandon's room to make sure he was ready , I knocked in the door

"Hey sweetheart , are you ready to go ?"
"Yeah I'll be down in a second mom "

I jogged down the stairs and out to my truck I upgraded to a blacked out lifted Chevy , it's my baby , I start my truck and Brandon comes running out of the house and jumps in beside me , I turn on the radio and pull out of the drive way

Me: Brandon do you have practice today ?
Brandon: no I have a game , are you coming ?
Me:yeah, I'll pick you up after school and you can grab your stuff from your room
Brandon: okay sounds good to me

The rest of the ride was silent besides his humming , I dropped him off at the front entrance and waited till he got inside

I drove to my college , it wasn't far from home but it was a good drive , I pulled into the parking lot and seen what looked like Myles with another girl , the hood on his sweatshirt was up so I couldn't see , I let it go knowing he wouldn't do something like that , I parked and walked into school.

My classes went by super fast today , I walked out with my friend Alice , we made plans to go out on Saturday and then I got into my truck , I haven't checked my phone all day so I quick grabbed it and turned it on , when I looked at my text messages I realized Myles hadn't texted me at all , I was used to it by now and just let it go , I checked my messages from Brandon
"Games at 6 , can we grab some food "
I smiled at my phone and pulled out of the parking lot , I stopped at chipotle and grabbed his favorite thing, a burrito , I slowly started making my way to Brandon's school but got caught up in traffic , when I looked over I seen Myles and another girl , I quickly pulled away with a pain in my stomach. I knew we had grown apart but not enough to cheat, I had tears in my eyes but I couldn't let Brandon know what was going on, he would be so hurt. So I pulled over and wiped my eyes and redid my mascara, I sped to Brandon's school to pick him up, he ran to the truck and jumped in
"Mom your like a half hour late"
"I know baby I'm sorry I got caught in traffic, but here"
I handed him his burrito and he tore into it, the kid eats so much but doesn't gain a pound. I drove him home and sent him to do his homework, I had a few errands to run. I stopped off at a store to get my hoodie that had Brandon's hockey logo on it and my last name on  the back, then I stopped to pick up his skates that we got sharpened. I drove home but it was a daze because all I could think about was Myles and that girl, he looked at her the way he used to look at me. I sighed and pulled into the driveway. I walked inside and looked at the clock, it was 4 so I took a quick shower and changed into jeans and my hoodie with some uggs, I walked to Brandon's room and he was getting ready. I walked down the steps and Myles was home, sitting on the couch, he looked out of it. I ignored it and called Brandon down to get his stuff and get in the truck. I glanced over my shoulder at Myles and he looked at me with a dead look in his eyes, it scared me but I knew he wouldn't tell me anything, he's stubborn as hell now days, so I let it go and locked the door. I jumped in the truck and drove off to the hockey rink with my boy, I have to be strong for him, he's my baby still.
