Sunkit took a bite of a small mouse. She was six moons old now, almost ready to become and apprentice. Beepaw bounded up to Sunkit with Foxpaw trailing behind her. Sunkit looked up and sighed. "I can't come, Beepaw. I got in trouble yesterday. Daisy wants me to stay in the nursery for now," Sunkit said, regret spreading across her face. She heard Bramblestar's mewling ring across the hollow. "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath the highledge for a clan meeting!" Sunkit saw many cats gathering slowly. Daisy came in and scooted Sunkit out into the clearing. Sunkit was confused because kits never went out to the meetings. Bramblestar looked Sunkit in the eyes. "Sunkit, today we celebrate your sixth moon since we found you," Bramblestar announced. Sunkit's eyes sparkled with hope. "I, Bramblestar of ThunderClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this kit, and to guide her in becoming a warrior. Sunkit, I now name you Sunpaw. Your mentor will be Littlefang. I hope she will give you her bravery and kindness as she trains you to become a warrior. In other news, Snowpaw, will you come with Yewpaw?" Bramblestar announced. A white she-cat with blue eyes stood up with a golden striped tabby tom and padded to the highledge. "Snowpaw and Yewpaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code forever, even at the cost of your life?" Both apprentices nodded. "Then, I call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on these two apprentices, for they have trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I wish you to make them warriors in their turns, Snowpaw, your will be known as Snowscorch, and Yewpaw, you will be known as Yewheart. That is all, the clan meeting is dismissed," Bramblestar spoke before leaping off the highledge. Sunpaw was bursting with pride, almost thinking that her fur was glowing in admiration. Littlefang padded over and looked at Sunpaw. "Well, you should be resting up for tomorrow, I plan for a hard training session," Littlefang mewled. Sunpaw dipped her head and padded away to the apprentice's den.
