Sunblaze's Sorrow

Chapter Six: After the Battle

     "Tallstar? The leader of WindClan is my father?" Sunblaze asked, her fur ruffling. "Yes, Sunblaze. I didn't tell Skypaw or Falconfur, but-" Brairpatch began, but Bramblestar silenced them. "What are you doing?! Did you forget that a battle is going on?" he yelled as a tabby she-cat took him down. "Right. We'll talk later, Sunblaze," Brairpatch sputtered. Sunblaze twitched her tail and whisked around. The white cat who had pinned her was on the ground, pinned by Falconfur and Clawpelt. The tom smacked Falconfur across the muzzle, and she fell to the ground. "NO! NOT MY SISTER!" Sunblaze screeched as she tackled the large tom. He smacked Sunblaze out of the way, and Sunblaze could only see darkness.
       "She's pretty badly injured, Icetail. What should we do?" a red tom asked. Everything was a swirl of colors in Sunblaze's eyes. "Well, something is also wrong with her paw," a white blur said. "My paw is broken," Sunblaze said weakly. "She's up, Icetai!" the red blur exclaimed, his voice quivering with fear. "Shut up, Reedpaw! Don't panic her, she's probably in enough shock already. What is your name?"  the white blur asked. "S-Sunblaze." "Well, you got knocked out in the battle eleven moon rises ago. Blackstar isn't sorry, but you're not in the camp. We, Reedpaw and I, brought you into our secret base underneath the old Thunderpath. We're just keeping you here until you heal properly," the white cat said. Reedpaw looked at Sunblaze. We found a tabby cat too, brown and green eyes. Do you know her?" Reedpaw asked. Sunblaze looked around and saw Falconfur lying nearby. "Yeah. That's Falconfur, my sister," Sunblaze answered. "Oh, okay. Do you need any poppy seeds? We have like a million of them," Reedpaw asked. "If you have a million, I'll need all of them. Where did that mouse-brain hit me?" Falconfur grumbled. Icetail flinched. "That was my leader, cat," Reedpaw snapped. "Name's Falconfur, creep." Icetail clamped her tail over Reedpaw's mouth. "Sorry, he can be a little rude. Blackstar got you in the throat, both of you," Icetail mewed. Sunblaze felt her throat ache all of the sudden. "What happened to your paw, Sunblaze?" Reedpaw asked as soon as Icetail removed her tail from his mouth. "I got hit by a monster and it broke. They told me it was never going to heal, but I've learned to fight with it," Sunblaze mewed sadly. "Well, your medicine cat didn't treat it properly. I can work with it, it's not to late to do that," Icetail said. "What do you have to do?" Sunblaze asked. "I can make it entirely healed, but it will be painful. What do you want me to do?" Icetail asked. "Don't do anything, please. It gives me memories. I would rather have it exactly like it is," Sunblaze answered. Falconfur groaned in pain, taking Icetail's attention.
