luke groaned as he started to hear the blaring of his alarm, signaling it was time for him to get out of the cocoon he buried himself in. he tangled himself out of the sheets and got out of bed, swinging his legs over the edge and standing up. he then held his hands over his head and leaned over, stretching the sleep away and waking up every muscle in his body with a yawn. he was exhausted and it was too early for him, as always, wanting nothing more than to curl back into the sheets and sleep for the rest of his life.
he hated majority of the schoolweek. mondays, wednesdays, and fridays were the worst, and to him they always have been. starting off the day, he gets up the earliest at six-thirty. from then on, he goes to school every at eight-thirty, goes to the gym right after until about six, makes his journey to comes home, and lastly has to do homework all in one day. he tries not to forget his dinner. on tuesdays and thursdays, however, he goes to school like any other normal person at 16 years of age would, and doesn't go to the gym, those were his so called catch-up days. on weekends, he either has to go to the gym for a few hours to train in the early morning and afternoon, or he has a match. and as exciting as that is, he never actually has time for himself, or downtime to relax. its always go-go-go for him.
he went to the bathroom after his minute long stretch and turned on the shower, also switching the fan on, and walked back to his bedroom to grab clothes and a towel. he sleepily walked back to the bathroom with a band tee, gym shorts, his boxers, and black socks. he slowly slid off his sleepwear which was just a pair of boxer briefs and stepped in, warming's up his chilled skin under the hot water and washing himself when he's finally ready to get his day going.
by the time luke gets into the shower every morning, its six-forty, leaving him twenty minutes to get changed, eat, brush his teeth, get out the door, and to his training session. his morning session is supposed to start at 7:05, but he doesnt get there until 7:10 usually, leaving ryan, his coach and trainer, waiting and a bit pissed off. he didn't care, however. his days were long enough as it was, just five minutes less of ryan talking.
as he hops in the car and started the engine, his phone rings. he answers after he pulls out of the driveway and puts his phone between his shoulder and his left ear, driving off towards the gym.
"its luke, whats up?" he asked into the receiver, taking in a deep breath as he listened to the person on the other side of the line. he really should start putting contacts in his phone, he thought to himself.
'hey look! you answered! about damn time!' ryans voice rang through the receiver and luke rolled his eyes dramatically, even though the man couldn't see him.
"what do you need? me to bring you coffee? im on the way now, ill stop now if you need me to." he responded, biting his lip as he took a sharp turn right.
'that's kind of you for offering, i want that please if you can. oh, and i need you to stop and pick up a backpack on your way in with the credit card i gave you. probably from walmart, its the closest to the gym. preferably black, but any color around that is fine.'
"what for?" luke's ears perked up, he was curious. hes rarely needed to go and pick something up, normally ryan goes with him while they're out or he picks something up himself. and a backpack? that was making luke even more confused. "and for who?" he asked as well then, switching lanes as he started the journey to the closest walmart instead.
'you'll see when you get here. now c'mon. you better be here by seven thirty.' and with that, ryan hangs up. luke groans, stopping at the red light close to the nearest walmart. he checks the time, and its seven-twelve. he was cutting it short, and ryan wants his coffee.
"fuck." luke grumbles under his breath as he pulls into the parking lot, heading inside as soon as he parks the car, with a slight jog. he kept his head down and tried to get past everyone, just trying to get in and out.
as he gets to the backpacks, he bumps into someone way shorter than him. he grips their shoulders lightly to move them out of the way but to his luck, his strength makes it harder than it feels to him. the boy instantly whimpers in pain, looking up at luke before putting head back down again in fear. he could feel the boy quivering, and he frowned.
luke let go and looked at the boy almost immediately, muttering a 'sorry' before rushing to the backpacks and picks a black one like he was told. he headed to the checkout aisles as soon as he could, seeing the boy once again a few people away from him. the more he looked, the more he took his appearance in. he was a raven-haired boy with a pastel pink sweater and black leggings, along with ugg boots. luke stands in line behind him after debating which checkout was moving the fastest, instantly feeling a little nervous and anxious to be in the presence of him. he shot a text to ryan, saying that hes in the checkout for the backpack and wont be there for another 10-20 minutes if he wanted his coffee. ryan replied with a 'just hurry up'.
when luke paid and headed out towards the car, he saw the raven-haired boy (he yet didnt know his name) walking. he jogged up beside him and the boy looked at him before stopping. luke could tell by the way he acted that he was nervous, so luke decided to speak up first.
"im luke, i'm sorry for hurting you if i did. i dont know my own strength." luke said softly and the boy nodded his head, smiling softly before leaving and going to his own car. someone was waiting for him, luke noticed, and he gave them a forced smile and a wave.
luke started walking back to his car and sighed. so much for talking to him.
this is probably rlly short but
