Literally Double Dating

If I was to describe one of the most awkward situations I've even been in (and I've been in my fair share) this would most definitely be the worst.

It started when Jace suggested that he and Ellie should join Caleb and I on our date, and did I add I didn't even know this was a date in the first place. It then proceeded to go more downhill from there because Ellie agreed to go, and you know when you think it couldn't get any worse? Once we made it to Caleb's car Jace shouted shotgun which meant I had to sit in the back of the car with Ellie. Caleb gave me an apologetic look in the rearview mirror.

"So I was thinking-" Jace started.

"Oh look he thinks." I muttered under my breath, but Jace heard it.

"Really Caleb? You want to go out with someone who would insult your best friend?"

Caleb caught my eyes in the rearview mirror and flashed a smile. "That's on of the things I like about her."

Jace made a gagging gesture, and continued with whatever he was saying a minute ago. "Moving on, why don't we go paint balling."

If I was driving Caleb's car I would've slammed on the breaks in shock because I did not see that coming. "Whatever Lilly wants to do." Caleb said, but I could tell he wanted to go paint balling, his face lit up when Jace suggested it.

"It's your car dude, your decision." Jace said, knowing that I probably would prefer to go get ice cream, and if he was thinking that then he was 110 percent right, but of course I wasn't going to tell him that.

"It's called being a gentleman Jace, but you wouldn't understand that." I said, and Jace rolled his eyes.

"But," I added, "Paint balling sounds good." I finished and Jace and Caleb grinned.

"Do I get a say in this?" Ellie spoke for the first time, "Because I am not getting pain in my hair."

I looked at her for the first time since she got in the car and if I was being honest, I wouldn't blame her not wanting to go paint balling. She was wearing a tiny skirt with long 6 inch heels. Her hair looked like she spent hours on it and her make up was perfectly intact. She did not look like the kind of girl who would be happy with people shooting paint at her.

"Then go home." Jace said and I looked up at him in surprise.

"That's not very nice." I said and Jace turned around to look at me. Once again I couldn't help but notice how nice his eyes looked, the lighting coming through the window made them glow a light blue, and I instantly forget what I just said the moment our eyes met.

"I never claimed to be nice Lillypad." Then he turned to Ellie, "So?"

Ellie crossed her arms across her chest. She was clearly trying to get Jace to notice her boobs she was practically sticking them up to her chin. "If you're going I'm going." Then she smiled at him, leaned forward and kissed him. I tried not to throw up my breakfast.

"We're here." Caleb announced shortly after.

When I got out of the car I saw a huge warehouse splattered with every kind of paint available. The sign on the warehouse said, "Xtreme Paint Balling." Caleb walked up next to me when he noticed what I was looking at. "Scared?" He teased and I narrowed my eyes.

"No I'm agitated."

Caleb came closer. "Look I'm really sorry about Jace and-"

I raised my hand to shush him. "Not at that, although Jace agitates me too but that's constant."
