Chapter 8
Date.
I can't quite figure out if Alex was really just trying to make me feel better because of the incident or because he is into me? But anyway, I'm still not interested with boys.
Even if it was Alex. No.
"Let's go Aly. I hate waiting!" I was waiting downstairs for three and a half hours already, in their living room and guess what? Aly's house was not really a house. It was a mansion. It was almost as big as our house before. Hey, I could live here. This is what life is all about. I could sleep over here every night, just adoring this big house and their huge chandelier. I could just runaway from home and live comfortably here, you know?
But of course I won't.
"I'm done Kylie." She was walking down the stairs, with her curly hair and killer heels, no one would ever think that this Aly was the tweetum, lame and lousy girl from before. 'Cause she looked great, and I know that everyone would think the same. I knew that the clothes I chose for her will suit her very well. "Well then, let us go, pretty."
While she was all dolled up in her soft peach dress, I was just in a simple shirt and shorts paired with sneakers. I came out of the house, and I was sure Aly was behind me. I stood in front of the door to find Alex talking with another guy.
"Whoa. She looks so beautiful." The unknown guy whispered.
And I realized he was not referring to Aly. He was looking straightly at me. I had to look at my back to check if Aly was really behind me. And it turns out, I was alone there. How could he tell that I was beautiful? Who is he? I think I recognize the guy. It was Neil. He was the playful guy in their varsity team. Usually, he likes to tease and mock the girls dying for Alex's attention. But Aly was one of them. I wonder why Alex brought this guy with him?
"Hi. I'm Neil Schuck. Aren't you..."
"...the girl who rolled over the bleachers. Yeah."
"Haha! Catchy, crazy title, huh?"
"Kinda. I'm Kylie. Kylie David."
"Hi Kylie. It is nice meeting you."
"Same here."
I have been entertaining both Neil and Alex as we wait for Aly. They've been asking about the audition play and if I have plans to try. Some from the varsity were interested in auditioning, too. Wow. I have never thought that these guys could be cool in the varsity team and be such sweethearts in the stage. I admire both of them. They are comfortable being themselves.
"I want to give you a tip, Kylie. You want to audition, right?" He was grinning. Is this a trick or what? "Yes. I want to play the main role." Do I want to play the lead role? Of course, dammit. I'll die just to play that part. "Then you must know who the founder of the theatre guild is." Oh yeah. I have not researched about that one yet. "Who?"
"Oh wait. My bad. Have I introduced you to this guy yet?"
"No need. I know him already. He is Alex Wyle."
"You don't know him enough, babe."
Don't call me babe, biatch.
"You are standing in front of the Young Actors Theatre Guild founder. Directed and wrote the stageplays When Everything Fails and The Man Left Standing. The lead actor in A Flood of Memories and Sunshine in Her Tears. He received many recognition and awards not only for being MVP in basketball, but also for being a great actor, director and playwright in different stageplays outside the school. He even represented Beauford Hills in International Theatre Conference held in Singapore and was requested to portray the role of Ja- " Alex hit him in the chest.
