We had flown a good 45 minuets before Fang slowly banked left, I looked that direction and saw a large lake about half a mile away. Banking that way also, soon a large hill of rocks came into view.

I saw Max waving her hand slightly motioning Fang and I below. Fang eased himself down first, then, waving me down as well, stood beside Max.

Landing with a thud Max smiles at me and walks inside, slowly walking in I can feel Fangs eyes piercing my back. And quickly I sit down near the entrance of the cave.

"Max!" Angel squeels, wrapping her arms around Max's neck.

"Glad to see you too."

Max smiles them all, turning to me before nodding at Fang.

"This is how it should be, all of us, together."

I assumed she wasn't directing the conversation to me, so I stood and walked outside the cave. I heard Max mumble something to Fang, obviously about me, so I sat down and watched passing by hawks.

Two hawks swirled around each other, the wind carrying them in different directions. It was beautiful to watch, and I suppose I watched for quiet awhile, as the hawks landed in their nests I noticed the sky was almost dark.

"Where do we go now?"

I heard Fang walking in paces. Stopping momentarily waiting for Max to answer.

"We head east, in the morning."

I turned my head slightly and saw Fang pointing a thumb at my direction.

"What about her." Fang mumbled.

Max whispered slightly,
"Just keep an eye on her"
And laid beside Angel.

I turned my head back towards the lake and shifted to the edge of the rocks, feet dangling.

I could sense Fang behind me, and the chills slowly went to my neck before I felt a cold finger on my shoulder.

"Are you staying out here?"

I didn't really feel like breaking my silent streak again so I nodded. There was another moment of pure silence before Fang nudged me over, sitting beside me.

"What are you doing."

He smiled and looked at me,
"Ya know, if you really didn't want to talk, you'd do a better job."

I opened my mouth to say something, but stopped. I looked away from him before I felt a blush creep up my face. I actually didn't know how to respond. No sarcasm, nothing.

"Well you have to talk now, I've already figured you out."

I turned back at him slowly furrowed my eyebrows in an 'oh-really' look.

He looked at my intently, to the point where I was about to blush again. Then he pushed me, off of the rocks.

I didn't scream for some reason and I couldn't react to open my wings to save myself. I just kept falling, shocked.

I saw the ground speed towards me and I covered my head with my arms. Waiting for and impact. But suddenly there was a loud whoosh, and it was Fang who broke my fall.

I still hit the ground, back first. And I gasped for air cursing him.

"What's wrong?"
He walked up to me, placing his hand under my chin tilting my head upwards. His cold eyes looked into mine, I guess he looked at me a little longer than he was going to. Because he quickly blinked and stood up.

"I know you aren't one of them, you know, like Ari. But you aren't like us you're more.. Human."

He looked back at me shyly and quietly whisped,

"I like that."
