GUYS I AM SO SORRY FOR THE DELAY BUT HERE IT IS!! Also, random song choice, but enjoy!

The following morning, I woke up to a numbness on my shoulder, staggering up I rub my arm. I forgot, I had been sleeping on rocks for about 6 hours.

The sky was still dim, with the sunrise barely peeking over the other side of the lake. I glance around, everyone else was asleep, even Fang. He slept propped against the cave wall, arms folded, with a slight bit of his long hair covering his eyes.

"Well, you look cuter when you're alseep." I giggle at myself quietly and walk slowly to the end of the rock outside the cave.

Scratching my head, I looked for the hawks, which if I can actually find them, I'd join them. As I scanned the nests further for them, I noticed one of them had flown right past me.

Turning my body towards the lake, I wiggled my wings from the slits in my shirt. (which if I failed to mention, nudge was kind enough to dress me in regular black shirt and slightly too short skinny jeans)

As I walked towards the very end of the cliff I felt a cold hand stop me abruptly, I turn my head slightly but I already knew it was Fang. Only his skin could be that cold.

"What do you want now, o, baby sitter?" I half sang quietly.

"Baby sitter? I thought I was cute?"

I could feel my face heat up, how the fuck did he hear me?
"Only when you sleep!" I yell- whispered turning to him fully.

His face was so fucking smug I had the urge to smack him, but.. He looks cute when he smiles.

Shaking my head I mumbled, "What do you want anyways?"

"Well, I have to watch you, remember?"

"And? I'm just going to fly around."

He put a finger to his mouth is a shushing motion, he leaned closer to me and whispered, "Well, I'm going to join you before the others wake up, some things are more enjoyable when quiet."

I shrug my shoulders, I couldn't stop him, but i.. Didn't want to be around him. It just felt as if he could read my mind, and that's not a feeling I like.

I jump off, letting my wings out fully, and did the cliché glide-your-hand-along-the-water move. But it was so beautiful, along with the still slowly-creeping sunrise you could see most of the stars, and soon enough, I saw Fang flying high above me.

For some reason, I decided the humidity from the sun hitting the water just too much, and I quicken the pace of my wings, pulling upwards. I bank left towards a rock faceing the sunrise, but as I looked around, I had lost sight of Fang.

"Well, he can't be too far behind." I mumble.

Landing softly, I felt a light tap on my shoulder.

"Where were you?"

"No, where were you y/n?"

I turned slowly, I remember that voice. As soon as I locked my eyes with his, I felt a fist crashing down on my skull.

Ari.
