Across the hills and over the bluffs, said little sister, along with her demonhound and impatient ex-son stood high upon the castle walls, looking over Underland from their stone parapets.

“I had hoped to have a champion by now” The Queen said quietly, never once dropping the familiar smile, that somewhat resembled his own that never appeared.

“Why don’t you slay the Jabberwocky yourself?” The boy retorted, leaning on the wall with his head in his hand. “You must have the power”

Rachel glided forward to him, looking up towards the starry sky.

“In the healing arts. It is against my vows to bring harm to any living thing”

A firefly buzzed by, circling around the Queen’s petite nose for a moment. She stared at its faint glow, her hand drawing up to bat it away from her face. So much for that vow.

She then lifted a golden spy glass, peering through it into the distance. She smiled happily, as usual, before handing the spyglass to the boy beside her.

“We have company”.

With that, she turned, her flowing dress trailing behind her as she walked away, leaving the boy alone with the demon hound upon the balcony.

Ciel turned back to the sky, lifting the spyglass to his uncovered eye. Through the bulging image, he spied a small blonde dormouse, bounding along the grass with a cheery grin. Beside her, a White Rabbit, his pocket watch clunking along at his side. Moving on, he spotted the twins, walking hand in hand and they seemed to be getting along for once, with no disagreements. Lastly, the glass was raised, spying the familiar scruffy black hair, trailing down its dark strands to the crimson eyes of the Mad Hatter. The sight was almost enough to draw a smile from the boy. Almost.

“Pluto” he comments, passing the spyglass to the demonhound beside him.

Pluto stared through the glass, a sudden rush of happiness and energy surging through him as he spots his wife and pups running alongside the rest of the group.

“Bielle!” he howls, darting off to meet with them.

Ciel followed at his own pace, which seemed to quicken the closer he got. Through the tall gates the group entered, the female demonhouse along with her pups throwing themselves through, along the neatly lined stones of the path to reunite with their loved one. They whines and nuzzled each other joyfully, once again a happy family.

Ciel himself ignored the fluffy greeting, stepping towards Sebastian, who he now had to peer up to thanks to his normal height. It was still an annoyance, but he cared little for it at the moment.

“I thought they were going to--“ he began, before being interrupted by the over joyful demon, his very clothes seeming bright and happy.

“So did I. But they didn’t!” He exclaimed, his tone overly enthusiastic like the manic he was. “Here I am….still in one piece…and I’m rather glad about that now that I’m seeing you again…-”

Sebastian.

“-I would have regretted not seeing you again….especially now that you’re the proper size…It’s a good size…-“

You’re rambling, Sebastian.

“-Just right, in fact…a right proper Ciel size-“

The boy had had enough of the demons babbling by this point, sighing and tugging down on the ribbon around his neck. He in turn stood on his toes, bashing their lips together somewhat clumsily, just to shut him up. There was an awkward glace shared between the others around them, and even a slight glare of jealousy being directed towards the Hatter by Elizabeth. But she kept quiet, as the two parted lips, merely staring at one another.

“...Fez.” the demon jerks himself back, giving a small smile to the boy who still held a grip on his ribbon. “I’m fine”.

“Where’s your hat?” Ciel asked, still keeping his face a little too near to the Hatters, but giving him a mere questioning glare.

Suddenly the red hair of the Cheshire Cat materialized beneath them, causing their closeness to end and the flamboyant Reaper appeared between them, twirling his blood coloured strands between his fingers as the hat rested upon his head. He grinned devilishly to the boy.

“Cheshire?”

“How’s the arm, kid?”

Ciel glanced to his arm, where the scratches once occurred being mere scars by now.

“Fine...”

Sebastian shuffled sideways, his hands reaching for the hat atop Sutcliffe’s head. The Reaper clutched it to his scalp a moment longer, before reluctantly handing it back to the demon.

“Goodbye~ Sweet Hat~.”
