Chapter 10
I put the address on Google Maps on my iPhone and the red pin popped up on Baker Street. The restaurant was called Saddle Up Steakhouse. This restaurant sounds good and I'm craving for some T-Bone steaks. I called up Kat and Diamond on three-way. Trinity was not as important to me anymore because of her attitude. Kat went straight to voicemail, which is odd 'cause she always answer. But Diamond answered.
"Hey Yasmine! Once again, Happy Birthday!!"
"Thanks... I need a huge favor"
" Damn.. I don't get a 'hey' back!"
"Hey...now listen. I just got mail from an anonymous person. It came with a bouquet of flowers and a note that says meet me at an address. I think you need to copy it down."
"Why?"
"Because we're going on a stakeout."
Really Yasmine? This childish shit"
"Yes please???"
It was a long pause before Diamond could answer my plea.
" Ok fine."
She hung up. I let out a sigh of relief. I'm so glad these girls are my best friends. My family was getting ready to go to Chili's. As they were about to hop into the car, I stopped them.
"Instead of going to Chili's, let's go to Saddle Up Steakhouse on Baker Street."
"My grandbaby has a good appetite!" Grandpa said
"Saddle Up is a bit on the expensive side though. I can't spend that much money just on food." Mom complained. She always on the cheap side.
"Tyra...we all paying for our own food and second, it's your daughter's birthday. She should have anything she wants and if she wants to go to Saddle Up, she wants to go." Grandma said
"Ok fine...Saddle Up it is." Mom said and sighed
" Thanks Grandma" I whispered.
" I'll do anything for the birthday girl ! "
We jumped into my Mom's SUV and drove off into our street.

After a 20 minute drive, we finally made it to the steakhouse. I was nervous that I'm doing a stakeout because I didn't know who this person was and I'm scared to find out who this person was. And it's my birthday so I expected a cute guy. Outside the restaurant door was Diamond and surprisingly Kat. Diamond was dressed in a cream lace skater dress with brown sandals and Kat had on a mint green blouse and a circle skirt with combat boots.
"Why you guys came so formal?"
"Because you can't come to a restaurant without looking presentable" Diamond said with such sassiness.
I grabbed Diamond's shoulders
"Diamond...it's just a steakhouse"
"And... it's just having manners"
My mom barged into our conversation.
"Hey Diamond and Kat. Why are you guys here?"
They looked at each other and then they looked at me for seconds at a time. I decided to go in.
"I invited them to the dinner, if that's okay with you. They also bought money." I said. I looked at them and winked.
"Okay.. as long as they paying for their food."
My mom walked into the door. Diamond and Kat came up to me and gave me a hug.
"Man Yasmine.. you the best" Diamond said and pat my back.
