Chapter 13

SOPHOMORE YEAR

I had to walk to school this year. Since my mom is a nurse and schedule varies, I have to walk or have a friend take me. Sophomore year is not going to bring me down. I have all Honors classes and I may auditioned for the National Honor Society. My goal is to get a scholarship because I know my mom doesn't have the money to give $25,000 out of her pocket. I went into my locker, all glam-up with pictures and glitter. I felt a presence coming towards me. I turned quickly and backed up, but end up hitting my locker.

" Hey beautiful !"

He kissed me. I kissed him back, stroking his cheek. The bell rang and I pushed him back. I think Chad is a perfect boyfriend for me. He's sweet, funny, and a gentleman. I hope he doesn't do anything stupid.

"What class do you have?"

"English Honors"

"Same here" He said and smiled.

I checked his schedule. We actually have all the same classes this year. YESSSSSS! I thought.  

We walked into Mrs. Box class, our English teacher. I spotted Trinity. I waved. She didn't wave back. Bitch I thought.

" Hello there students ! I'm going to be your English teacher and I bet all the activities we're going to have are going to be exciting and fun."

Mrs. Box was a pretty nice lady. She had light brown hair and blue eyes. She had long lashes and skinny but perky lips. She looked like she just graduated from college.

"I will do attendance. I'm going to assign seats and what I do is call random names and I will assigned you to a table like a group basically."

Please get me next to Chad I thought.

"Chad Wilson........Yasmine Fox......Joy Herbs"

YESSSSS!!! I thought. Chad looked at me and smiled.

"and Trinity James"

The fuck? Why she got to sit with us I thought. That bitch know she's jealous of Chad and I dating. The four of us sat near the table in the left corner of the classroom. I sat next to Chad and Trinity sat across from Chad.

" Hey Trinity"

" Hi...." she said in a low voice.

"Where have you been? You've been ditching Kat, Diamond, and I ." I said as I was opening my spiral notebook

"Nowhere"

"Really? Oh ok.."

Trinity stared at me until the teacher got our attention.

I raised my hand. " May I use the bathroom?"

"Sure thing. Write yourself a hall pass." Mrs.Box said.

I grabbed a blue sheet. I got my glitter pen and wrote my name, date, class period, and time and head out the door to the nearest bathroom.

Trinity's POV

I turned to the textbook to read a story. I randomly stop at a story called 'Broken Hearts'. This book is totally me right now I thought. I couldn't stand to see Chad with another girl, especially my best friend. I mean I broke up with him, but I want him back.

"Hey Chad?"

"What do you want?"

"May you tell what this word is?"

I point to the word 'apoplectic', even though I knew what the word means. I was just trying to make a move.

" Apopletic means angry and upset. Now finish your work"

"Thanks. How's your relationship ?"

"Man....Yasmine's the best. I'm pretty lucky to be her girlfriend. You should be lucky that she's like your best friend ! And why are you asking"

"I guess I'm pretty lucky. You must had to do alot to get her to be your girlfriend. Oh, I was just asking"

"Don't even start the bullshit"

I sat next to him. I can't take it anymore I thought. I turned his face to look at me and kissed him.  

We kissed for 3 seconds and he pushed me away. But, Yasmine was standing there in shock.

"What the fuck? I can't believe my eyes."

" Yas...it's not what you think".

"Mrs.Box !!! May I change my seat?"

"Sure thing. If you have any problems with your group members, you may be able to change seats". Joy and Yasmine moved and then everyone else moved except Chad and I. Yasmine slammed my backpack on Chad's chair, hitting him in the leg.

"Fuck what you did, Trinity. Yo fucking hoe-ass!"

I shrugged

Back to Yasmine's POV

I was walking through the courtroom with my textbook in my hands. Fuck Trinity and Chad ass! I thought. Somebody was shouting out my name.

"YASMINE ! YASMINE !"

"The fuck you want ?!"

"Trinity kissed me first."

"Every fucking guy gives that excuse. I'm not falling for that excuse."

"But she really did...."

"I DON'T FUCKING CARE !! Every guy I had also breaks my heart. And I thought you were better than all the boys I dated and I was actually in LOVE with you. I want to go to college with you, get married, HAVE KIDS TOGETHER. But, you're just like all the other raggedy guys out there."

"But I STILL LOVE YOU!"

"Well I HATE YOU !"

I cried because my love for a special boy has my heart in tiny pieces. I wiped my tears.

"I really want to hug you right now....I hate when you're sad"

"Well you fucking made me sad, NIGGA!"

I threw my books into my backpack and walked away to my next class. I walked past Kat and Diamond, paying them no attention.

"She's upset" Kat said

"Leggo!" Diamond said.
