I woke up in Soda's arms. The whole gang was sprawled either on the floor or on the couch. I carefully ducked out of Soda's arms and made my way to the bathroom. I grabbed my bag and pulled out the outfit I had brought, a striped long sleeve crop top, a hot pink mini skirt, and hot pink high heels...if you haven't noticed pink is my favorite color. I went into the kitchen grabbed a piece of bubble gum and started making blueberry muffins. Since I was feeding seven teenage boys, I made four batches! As soon as I set them in the oven Soda and PonyBoy came into the kitchen. I hopped onto the counter and blew a bubble with my gum. "Morning guys!" I said smiling at them. "Morning Lela!" Soda said hugging me. "Morning." Pony yawned hugging me. "Oh, Pony I have an arran to run...can you guys handle breakfast?" I asked. "Yup." Soda said smiling at me. "Okay, when the timer goes off take out the muffins!" I said as I walked out the front door. I walked to the DX and saw my pink and black motorcycle in the window. "It's finished!" I squealed walking into the shop. Steve was already there, "Hey Steve-o!" I said. "Hey Lela!" He said beaming. "You painted it! It looks amazing!" I shouted excitedly. He had painted my usually boring black motorcycle...pink for me! I hugged him and he said, "I didn't know you could ride?" "Dally taught me last summer!" I said as I swung my leg over my bike! I started up the engine as Steve stuck a helmet on my head, "Safety first." He said smirking. I grinned at him and zoomed out of the garage. I came to a squealing stop back in front of the Curtis house. I skipped up the front porch steps and saw that the guys were all stuffing their faces with muffins. I laughed, flattered. "Golly, you guys sure weren't hungry." I said rolling my eyes. "Oh, Steve finished my motorcycle! Need a ride to work, Soda?" I asked smirking. "Yes!" He yelled. We ran outside and he laughed at my choice of color. "Hop on!" I said patting the back seat. He swung his leg over and wrapped his arms around my waist. I shivered, feeling his warm breath on the back of my neck. Noticing this, he draped his jacket over my shoulders and I started up the engine driving back towards the DX. I didn't mind, it was good practice. I stopped my bike and turned towards Soda, "Here's your stop..." I said a he unwrapped his arms from my waist...I suddenly felt, empty. "Have a good day." I said smiling. He kissed my cheek and ran into the DX, waving at me one more time before disappearing inside the shop. I sighed, was that a friendly kiss? Or...something more? I didn't know but I wish I did.
