Letters to Us

It was a Mistake

As I wake up for a new day, I remember everything that happened yesterday, I still have no clue of what happened to Matt nor John, although it hurts knowing that I still have a small percent of trust to Matt. As I get out of bed, I look at the mirror and see all the scars over my skin, my face, as red as a tomato, my hair is just a mess, and my lazy eye, as I continue to observe I see subtle differences with Jack. I see that his face is full of joy and mine never was, I see his hair, a shade lighted than mine, and I remember that he doesn't have a lazy eye.

I walk to school seeing John and Stella, I go to them and greet them with what I hope is a warm smile, John just looked at me smiling while Stella hugged me tightly, "Okay?" I stated, "How you guys doin'?". "Good" they answered, "Stella, you're acting so weird",
"Really, how about you? are you good? everything fine?"
"John must've told you what happened"
"Sorry" John said
"It's okay"
"So what, you two are back together, is that what I see?"
"What no, we're just friends"
"Actually I like you," He stated
"Yeah, I like you too,"I said, suddenly turning red, not knowing what to say next, knowing what words slipped out of my mouth
"what?" he asked
"I said I like you?"
"as what?"
"You know what just forget it,"
"no"
"It was a mistake,"
"so you don't like me, is that what I'm hearing?"
"No, I like you, like a lot but,"
"but what"
"But I'm still scared to, you know, uh have a boyfriend?"
"I'm not rushing, you I get it, I mean, for Pete's sake my brother killed you brother"
"Thank you for understanding,"
"Soo, walk you to class?"
"Yeah, sure"
"Guys what about me?" Stella asked
we all laughed and went to class, as I sat in my seat Stella whispered "I guess you're gonna have a Mr. Right. in a few weeks", I slapped her arm, with a soft giggle.

Umm so John, is kind of the reason hear, I really like him and he feels the same, and Umm no, we're not dating but here's the deal, if possibly we did is that okay?

As I return to reality, my teacher called me about the project and that I will have a new partner and he said it was John, what a coincidence? this is surely a fun project for me.
