~Rin's POV~

"Alright, I'm ready Len. Do it." I squeeze my eyes shut as I feel a great weight slip away from my head. I open them and stare into the mirror. Wow, I didn't realize I had gotten so attached to my long hair. I put my white bow back on then help Len sweep up my hair off the tile floor.

I look around our new home, when Len said he got it I pictured a small cozy, cottage but no, he got us a freaking mansion! Three stories, not including the attic and basement. It's already furnished too. However, the only downfalls are our nearest neighbour is a good two miles away since both properties have a lot of land and central town is about seven.

"Hey Rin, why don't you greet the neighbours today? I gotta work so I won't be able to go with you but I think we should make a good impression." Len suggests.

"That sounds like a great idea! Yeah, I'll go after you leave."

After Len leaves for work I go to the pantry. I take a pie out of its box and wrap it in something else. I'll just say I made it and give it to the neighbours. Once done with that I walk out the door and begin the two mile walk to my new neighbour's house.

Approaching the mansion near mine, I take note of its size and beauty. It had a gorgeous fountain in the center of a circular drive way. The drive way that lead from the open gates, which had a symbol of two crossed swords, to the front doors were lined with flowers in pristine condition. Beyond those was a perfect lawn. The mansion itself was made of stone like mine but much cleaner. A bit nervous now, I cautiously climb the stairs and knock on the doors that also had symbol of two crossed swords pointing towards the sky.

Not a minute later, a young maid, probably 18 with with long pink hair opens the door. She glances down at me, thanks to my stupid shortness, and asks, "Can I help you?"

I smile politely and say, "Yes, my boyfriend and I just moved in next door and I just wanted to greet the neighbours."

She smiles excitedly, "Just wait here a moment. I'll go see if the master is busy." She disappeared and closed the door. Not five minutes later she returned and invited me in.

"My name's IA by the way. I'm the only servant here and the only other person that lives here is my master." She told me on the way to her master's study.

We stopped at oak doubled doors and IA knocks. I here a faint " Come in." and do so. What awaited on the other side of the door shocked me.

His blue eyes met mine. "You!" We both nearly shout. IA bowed and excused herself after giving a confused expression.

He sighed and looked down bored. "So, what are you doing here?" He asked. The nerve of this guy! Why is he so rude? He should give his guest his full attention, not look bored.

I walked towards his desk and place the rapped pie down where he sat doing paperwork. "Well, I just moved in next door and thought it would be polite to greet my new neighbour." He looked up and raised an eye brow at that. "I didn't take you for the house wife kinda girl." Man, this guy is starting to really piss me off. Calm down Rin, give him a chance.

"We never got to properly introduce ourselves." I hold out my hand for him to shake. "My name's Rin Kagine, what's yours?" He glances at my hand then looks back at his paper.

"I don't see why I have to give you my name. You volunteered yours but that doesn't mean I have to give you mine." That's it.

"WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?! WHY DO YOU HATE ME SO MUCH?!" I literally yelled at him.

"YOU MADE YOUR CHOICE! YOU DECIDED TO STAY WITH THAT MONSTER! I HATE ANYONE THAT MAKES THAT CHOICE! ANYONE WHO CHOSE MONSTERS OVER HUMANITY!"

He was standing now and we were both breathing heavily. A monster? Is Len really? I think what scares me the most is that I don't know the answer.

My bangs cover my eyes as tears threaten to fall. I hear his sigh and footsteps. His fingers lifted my head till my eyes met his.

"Let me show you something." He walked past me and out the door expecting me to follow. Should i? My curiosity got the better of me so i ran to catch up.
